Welcome back,
Tonight we give the day permission to end.
Whatever happened is behind you.
Whatever didn't can wait.
There is no need to carry it now.
Take a moment to feel the bed beneath you.
Let your body begin to release,
Not because it's told to,
But because it can.
You're safe now.
If your eyes haven't closed yet,
Let them gently soften.
Notice how the breath moves through you without effort.
Inhale through your nose,
And slowly exhale through your mouth.
Let the breath settle into a natural rhythm.
Now bring your attention to your shoulders.
Feel the shape they took on today.
Let them drop a little more with each breath.
Bring your awareness to the space between your shoulder blades.
This is where we often carry the weight of unspoken thoughts.
Let that space widen,
Let it release.
Now to the jaw,
Allow it to loosen.
Let your tongue rest against the bottom of your mouth,
Unclench,
Unhold.
Let this same stillness move down into the belly.
Soften any holding here.
You don't need to keep it together anymore.
You are allowed to rest.
If any thoughts rise,
Memories,
Fragments from today,
You can picture them as sand falling through an open hand.
No need to catch them.
Just let them drift.
Each exhale is a doorway.
Each breath out says,
It's ok to release now.
Now imagine the body as a soft outline.
Nothing rigid.
The edges blur into the mattress.
The bed holds you completely.
Let your back melt deeper.
Let the front of the body open with the breath.
Bring your attention to the chest.
Feel your breath like a gentle wave.
No resistance.
The day has already happened.
There is nothing left for you to manage.
It's ok to rest.
If it helps,
You can say quietly in your mind.
The day is done.
I can rest now.
The day is done.
I can rest now.
Let these words drift with your breath.
There is no rush.
Sleep will come.
This is rest.
This stillness is healing.
This moment is enough.
Now let yourself drift.
You are safe.
Let yourself float deeper into the quiet.
And sleep.
