As you gaze into the water, Imagine seeing a path revealed in its reflection. This path symbolizes your purpose, The unique journey that aligns with your values and desires. Step toward the water and feel a deep connection to this path, As though it's calling you forward. Take a step onto this path. With each step, Feel a sense of alignment growing within you. Imagine a light in your heart, A warm, Golden glow, That represents your inner wisdom and intuition. With every breath, This light grows brighter, Guiding you as you move forward. Notice how it feels to walk this path. Do you feel lighter? Do you feel a sense of clarity or joy? Allow yourself to trust this journey, Knowing that it is uniquely yours. If any doubts or fears arise, See them as small clouds in the sky. With each exhale, Imagine these clouds gently dissolving, Leaving the sky clear and open once more. As for your question regarding the length, for me personally I like around 10 minutes as I find it a good amount of time to get into a meditation without starting to get restless and finding it too long. I’ve been meditating regularly for around 3 months, so maybe in the future I will gravitate to longer ones to deepen my practice but for now around 10 minutes is a good length for me.

I once read that the sound of birds helps calm our parasympathetic nervous system as it goes back to our hunter gatherer days where the sound of birds would signal that there are no predators around, so it’s very calming for us. The sound of water is lovely too.
