Hello beautiful soul.
This is Joanna Szymanski,
And I am so honored that you are here with me today.
You have come here for a reason.
And I hope that this meditation will help relax and restore your energy.
Let's start by bringing our awareness to the breath.
Observing.
As we inhale and as we exhale.
Observing the temperature of the air.
Notice how your body is moving with each breath.
Expanding and collapsing.
If during this session today your mind has wandered,
That is okay.
I encourage you to be kind to yourself.
And bring your awareness back to my voice and back to this present moment.
Very good.
Now I want you to see if you can bring your awareness to the big toe on either your right foot or your left foot.
And I want you to pick that toe up off the ground and back down.
Up off the ground and back down.
And as you're wiggling your big toe,
I want you to follow along.
Everything in your leg that helps that big toe to move.
So we're going to follow that movement,
Feel into the muscle of the foot,
The bottom of the foot.
The top of the foot.
And move your awareness to your ankle.
Move your awareness to your calf and your shin.
Perhaps you can feel that movement in your knee.
Perhaps now moving that awareness to your thigh and your hamstring.
Are you feeling that movement in your leg?
And now to your buttocks.
Pelvis.
Maybe you feel that in your lower back.
And scanning the body for anywhere else that you might feel the movement of just your big toe.
Very good.
And you can stop moving your big toe and just let it rest.
And you can move your other toe to balance out the body.
So scanning the other foot and leg.
All the way up.
Perhaps this is a faster scan than the first one.
Yet with the same intention.
And you can stop wiggling that other toe.
And I want you to bring your awareness back to your breath.
Putting one hand on your chest,
One hand on your belly.
And honoring the body.
Thank you,
Body,
For how you support me.
Knowing that just wiggling one toe takes all this effort and energy.
And yet we move sometimes with so much grace.
It's nice to bring that awareness now to our body and thank our body for all that it's done for us to bring us here to this moment now.
One breath in through your nose.
And exhale nice and slow.
Dropping your shoulders,
Letting your arms to go.
And thank you for joining me here on this journey today.
Until next time.
