Take a deep breath in through your nose,

And out through your mouth.

In through your nose,

And out through your mouth.

And continue to breathe in as normal,

And out.

Feel your chest expanding with air,

And deflating as you blow out.

And now I want you to close your eyes,

And be in a position that serves you best,

Where you are most comfortable.

You can be sitting,

You can be laying on the floor,

On a bed.

Whatever makes your body comfortable.

And I want you to know that you are safe here.

You don't have to do anything here,

But just be.

Breathe in through your nose,

And out through your mouth.

You're doing so good.

And just follow my voice,

As I will lead you on a journey of peace.

And I want you to imagine,

In your mind's eye,

Being in a beautiful meadow.

And the grass in the meadow is so green,

And alive.

And you hear the sound of birds off in the distance.

And you smell the smell of so many flowers.

They're sweet,

And as if they're beckoning you.

So I want you to walk through the meadow,

And over a hill in the distance.

Good job.

You're following the scent of flowers.

It smells so sweet.

And as you climb up the hill,

Below you is a valley.

And you found the scent where it leads.

Below you in the valley is so many flowers.

There's purples,

And reds,

And pinks,

And even beautiful white flowers,

And iridescent.

So many colors that you can't even keep up with them.

You don't even have names for them.

You've never seen them before.

They're just so beautiful.

And you feel centered.

And you feel as if everything that you see in the valley,

And in the meadow,

The flowers,

And even the sounds that you hear,

You're a part of.

You're part of this network of life,

And love,

And energy.

You belong to all that you see,

And all that you see belongs to you.

And I want you to walk down the hill,

And there's a path that cuts through the flowers.

So just walk on this path,

In the center.

And you look down at your feet,

And they're bare,

And beautiful.

There's no pain.

You don't feel anything bad against your feet.

The ground feels soft,

And yielding to you,

And welcoming.

And your feet are walking this path,

And they know exactly where to go.

In the distance,

You hear not only the sound of birds,

But you also hear the rushing of water.

And you imagine that it must be a babbling brook,

Or a creek,

Or a river.

And as you walk further still,

You see it on the horizon,

Glistening like a diamond.

A beautiful,

Calm river.

I want you to walk towards that river.

And you're walking,

And you feel centered,

And at peace.

And your thoughts are full of positivity.

And you have a freedom that you've never had before.

You don't feel tied to your thoughts.

You feel as if they're just a part of you,

And you are an observer of your thoughts.

And as you make your way closer to this river,

That feeling becomes so much stronger.

That you are an observer of your thoughts.

Your thoughts are not of you,

They're simply a part of you.

A consequence of being in the world.

And you make your way to this creek,

This river,

This body of water.

It doesn't matter the name,

Because we're all connected,

And everything is one.

I want you to put your feet in this beautiful river.

Just go up to your ankles,

And feel the coolness against your skin.

And once again,

You feel peace,

And you feel as if you're a part of everything that is here.

And I want you to notice,

That as the river flows,

So do emotions flow within us.

So do thoughts flow within our mind.

They are not us,

But simply a part of us.

A part of this existence,

And our plane of reality on earth.

A part of being human,

They just simply are.

And as you look off to your right,

You see that the river flows endlessly.

There's no hurry to it,

No particular pace,

Or rhyme,

Or reason.

It just is.

And I want you to look to your left,

And you notice that up on the bank,

On your left hand side,

Above the river,

Is a tall oak tree,

With so many beautiful,

Colorful leaves.

And you see some of these leaves fall into the river,

And flow down the river,

And past you,

And off to the right.

And I want you to look at that tree,

And notice,

That tree does not reach out,

And try to catch those leaves.

That tree does not cry out as the leaves fall,

Because this is a part of nature.

Change is inevitable.

The tree knows that the leaves will fall,

And they'll come back again,

And the cycle will repeat itself.

There's a rhyme,

And a reason for this tree.

It is one with nature.

This is the cycle of life.

Change.

Everything is connected,

And you are even connected to this tree.

And those leaves fall,

And they flow past you.

And now I want you to imagine that you are a tree.

Any tree that you want to be.

An oak tree,

A willow,

An elm,

A beech.

Any tree that you want to be,

You are.

So I want you to imagine your bark,

And you're changing into this tree,

And your arms are reaching out to the sky,

So tall,

And it's not painful.

It feels good to unfold,

And to be whatever you want to be.

And your feet,

They go into the ground,

And they become roots,

And you're rooted to the soil.

And now you can feel the river in a new way,

The vibrations,

The current,

It runs through you.

That's life.

That is the life that is in your veins right now.

That is the centeredness,

That is the love that connects every single one of us.

And as your roots take in water,

They go all the way up to the top,

And they nourish you.

And you see that you have leaves now.

And your leaves are like thoughts.

Where am I going?

Did I not finish that thing?

Be with that for a moment,

That anxiety that it brings.

Always the desire to do something more,

To be somewhere else,

To change this or fix that.

Now step it back.

That is not you,

It is simply a part of you.

Time flows like a river too.

We can't go backwards in time.

We can't go forwards in time.

We can only be right here in this moment,

This tree that exists on the edge of this river.

And as your leaves drop,

That are now your thoughts,

Let them go.

They fall down into the river,

And they flow past you,

And they go all the way down.

To join,

Wherever they join,

It doesn't matter.

They are not you,

But simply a part of you,

And now they are gone.

Let those leaves drop.

It doesn't hurt,

There's no pain associated with it,

It's just change.

A letting go of what no longer serves you.

And your leaves drop,

And they're thoughts,

But you let them go.

And you feel a sense of peace,

Realizing that you don't have to control all these different parts.

That the only thing that you can control is yourself,

And your existence.

And ensuring that your roots are firmly planted in the foundation of your own making.

And a foundation of health,

And love,

And prosperity,

Whatever that may be for you.

And a family that you've created.

And that your branches are tall,

And strong,

And are able to hold everything that is precious to you.

And that when your leaves drop,

As they will,

As change will come.

Whether that's thoughts,

Or a new place to work at.

Or new friends,

Or even a new outfit that's changed you.

Or the seasons,

That you realize that it's not me,

But a simple part of me.

It's a part of my existence,

And change is inevitable.

And everything changes,

And it doesn't have to be painful.

So I want you to take a deep breath in,

And let it out.

And let it out.

In.

And let it out.

And your arms come back down,

Your branches,

They turn into arms and it's not painful.

You're coming back into yourself,

Into this human form again.

Your roots come up out of the soil.

And they become your feet,

And your legs.

And I want you to be with your body right now.

Be with a sense of peace and connectiveness.

This is always within you.

This belongs to you.

This flow of emotion,

And being with what is.

This place is yours.

You can always access it.

For you see,

You have everything that you need inside of you already.

It's just learning how to access it.

And I want you to thank your body.

Send love to your body for all that it has done for you.

You learned how to crawl,

And how to walk.

How to use your hands,

To hold the hands of another.

To grasp,

And to pull,

And to grab.

Thank your whole body for carrying you through this plane of existence.

And send love to your body.

And I want you to know that you are loved.

And you are worthy of love.

And you do not have to do one thing in order to be worthy of love.

You just are.

That is the truth.

You are love.

It's not just a part of you,

It's who you are.

And you are loved forever,

Regardless of what you do,

Or what you say,

Or what you think.

You are loved.

And breathe that in.

Breathe that love in deep.

And let it out.

And let it out.

And now I want you to say goodbye to this beautiful river.

It's there if you need it.

Bye to the tree.

Bye to the meadow,

And the valley.

And come back.

I want you to feel your feet in your shoes,

Or your socks,

Or your bare feet.

Your legs in the bed,

Or in the sitting position.

Wherever you may find yourself,

Come back to the body.

I want you to move your arms,

Open your eyes.

You did such a great job.

Carry this peace with you today.

And remember that you're powerful.

And that's always inside of you.
