Welcome to walking with God one day at a time.
I'm just your average Joe trying to reestablish and deepen my connection with God one day at a time.
Not as a pastor,
Not as someone who has all the answers,
Just as a man learning to walk with God more honestly in the middle of everyday life.
This space is for honest conversations about faith,
Presence,
Trust,
Doubt,
Healing,
And what it means to keep showing up even when life feels uncertain.
Curtain.
Because walking with God is not about being perfect.
I will tell you,
It is definitely not about being perfect.
It's about being willing.
It's about showing up.
It's about learning to slow down.
Learning to listen and trust and take the next step in front of you.
So wherever you are right now.
Whether you feel close to God.
Far away from him,
Or somewhere in between,
You're welcome here.
So let's walk together.
One day at a time.
And in this first episode,
We'll call it,
If you are listening here on Insight Timer,
It's going to be a little talk and a little meditation connecting with presence,
Because I feel if we are walking with God,
We need to be present.
We're going to explore Matthew 6,
34.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,
For tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.
And as we sit with that,
Think about how often we worry and how many times God has told us not to worry.
And this scripture sums it up perfectly.
And how can we be present in today,
Present in the now?
We all know that saying that tomorrow is in the future,
Yesterday is in the past,
And all we have is the present.
Moment is a gift.
It's a gift from God.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,
For tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.
So as we sit in this space.
Of the present moment.
We're going to do a short meditation and I invite you to close your eyes,
Roll your shoulders up,
Back and down.
Allow yourself to drop into your beautiful human form in this present moment,
Right here,
Right now.
And all we're going to do,
We're going to inhale through our nose,
And we're going to exhale through our mouth.
And allow that exhale to be just a little bit deeper.
And then we'll do that again.
Inhale through the nose.
Exhale through the mouth.
A little bit longer.
Allow the exhale to be just a little bit longer than that inhalation.
And as your body softens and we relax into this present moment.
We're going to move that breath now just simply in through the nose and out through the nose.
Still trying to keep the exhalation just a little bit longer.
And I invite you to find your rhythm with your breath.
And as you find that rhythm,
Allow your body to soften into the now,
To soften into this present moment.
Whatever worries that you might be holding on to.
For at least this moment,
Give it to God.
And know that God told us to give it to him.
We don't have to carry it.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,
For tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.
And as you give that worry or all of your worries,
I want you to feel your body softening even more and relaxing into this present moment,
Into this space,
And just feel the presence of God here with us right now.
Because right now is all we have.
This moment.
Is a gift.
It is a present for each and every single one of us.
To just simply be still.
And in this stillness.
I invite you to keep giving the worries to God and just sit in peace.
For the next couple of minutes,
We'll move into silence.
And in this space of silence,
Feel the peace of the presence of this moment right now.
We're going to start deepening our breath,
Coming back to the awareness of the here and the now.
Taking it one day at a time.
Walking with God one day at a time.
Knowing that He has planned everything and everything is taken care of.
Give your worries to God and take home peace as you move throughout the day.
Thank you for taking this short meditation break with me today.
