Hello,
I want you to get nice and comfortable in the space that you're in.
You're sitting in a chair,
I ask that you sit back comfortably.
And if you're lying in a bed,
I want you to elevate slightly so that you don't fall asleep.
And take a moment now to allow your body to settle into the surface beneath you.
And when you're ready,
Gently close your eyes.
Take a slow deep breath in through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.
Again,
Breathing in and letting go.
And with every breath out,
Allow your body to soften just a little more.
Let your shoulders drop.
Let your jaw unclench.
Let your tongue rest gently.
There is nothing you need to do right now.
Nowhere you need to go.
Just this moment.
Just your breath.
Now,
Bring your awareness to your chest.
And imagine a soft,
Warm light beginning to grow there.
A calm,
Steady,
Soothing light.
And with every breath in,
That light expands inside of you.
And with every breath out,
It gently releases tension from your body.
Let that light begin to spread through your chest,
Into your shoulders,
Down your arms,
Into your hands.
And now,
Slowly moving up into your neck,
Your jaw,
Your face,
Softening everything it touches.
And now,
Drifting inward into your stomach,
Your hips,
All the way down into your feet.
Your entire body wrapped in this calm,
Steady light.
Now,
Imagine your nervous system like a network of energy flowing through your entire body.
And right now,
It begins to slow,
To regulate,
To reset any tension,
Any stress,
And any overwhelm.
It begins to dissolve.
You are no longer in a state of urgency.
You are stepping out of survival mode and in to calm,
In to safety,
In to control.
Let your breathing become slower and deeper.
Your body is remembering what it feels like to be safe.
And the more you allow this,
The easier it becomes.
Because this calm already exists within you.
You are simply reconnecting to it.
Take a few moments here,
Just resting in this calm.
Now,
Gently begin bringing your awareness back to your body.
Noticing how you feel.
Maybe a little lighter,
A little calmer.
Wiggle your fingers,
Toes.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Bringing this calm with you into your entire day.
I hope you have a beautiful day.
