We will be doing a short loving kindness meditation.
Take a few moments to settle into your seat.
Focus on your breath.
Let your breath come naturally.
There's no need to make it faster or slower or time your breath in any way.
Imagine for a moment someone that you have deep love for.
Consider the feelings that wash over you as you imagine this deep affection for the person you have chosen.
Imagine the feelings of love and kindness as if they were a ball of white light.
Imagine that this light originates in your heart and with each breath in your love and kindness towards others grows.
With each breath out,
Imagine the ball of light growing larger and brighter.
Consider the way the world would look if we looked upon all people and beings with this light and love.
Taking in a breath,
Imagine your light shining on others bright like the sun.
Exhaling,
Imagine that this light reaches everyone in all corners of the world,
All people big and small,
All beings from ladybugs to elephants.
Inhaling,
Imagine that others can feel this love just as you can feel the warm sun on your face on a beautiful summer day.
Exhaling,
Consider those small moments of love that you have experienced through your life.
Bring to mind an example of kindness that you recall.
How did that feel?
Imagine gifting that feeling to others.
Inhaling,
Consider your love and kindness light,
This light that you can shed onto others.
Exhaling,
Imagine the warmth on your face.
What if this were love from the universe?
Accept this warmth and love from others,
A gift from a loving and kind universe.
Kindness is cumulative,
It all adds up.
Every door you open,
Every kind smile you share,
All of those things matter.
Inhaling,
Consider the next opportunity you have to exhibit loving kindness.
Exhaling,
Imagine your inner light as bright as it can possibly be.
You are made of loving kindness,
You can literally radiate with it.
