Hey everybody,
I am so excited to be joining you for this guided healing session.
I am Hillary Belk and this is walking through a chakra balancing and I just want to say thank you for being here whether it's morning,
Noon,
Or night where you are.
I'm so grateful to be a teacher on Insight Timer.
So I'm just going to go ahead and ask you to get comfortable whether that's sitting on the ground or sitting on a chair or the couch,
Wherever you feel most comfortable because I'm just going to walk you through this process and we're going to go from root to rise and we're going to start with the root chakra.
So the root chakra is going to be red and it is located in your seat.
Your seat is underneath your pelvic area but the root chakra is measured in your feet,
In your legs,
In your knees,
And in your thighs and your hips.
So what I'm going to ask you to do is place your feet on the ground and just apply some pressure through your legs into your feet and feel how your feet are connecting with the ground.
And what this is going to do,
It's going to show you how the ground meets your feet and as the ground meets your feet,
You feel a stability.
You feel the groundedness as you are applying a little bit of pressure and then feeling how the ground is meeting your feet at the same time.
And then I want you to just let out a sigh as you're experiencing this.
And then I would like to ask you to move your feet around a little bit.
So we're going to start with applying a little bit of pressure to your feet,
Letting the ground meet your feet.
And then after that,
I'm going to let out a nice sigh and then following that,
Just move your feet around.
Just gently move them around like,
You know,
Up and down,
Around.
Just work your feet a little bit so they're just a little bit off the ground and you're moving them back and forth.
And just for a second,
And then let your feet be back on the ground.
So what we're doing is we're creating the stability and we're also having the movement.
Any type of stagnancy starts to shift.
The root chakra is measured in your feet,
Like I said,
In your feet and your legs and your knees and your thighs.
So as you are working your feet,
What you will start to realize and notice is a lightness that's moving through your legs,
Your knees,
And your thighs and your hips.
So just to sit and witness that for a moment and just be thinking about the color red.
You know,
As you're going through this in your mind's eye,
Picture the color red.
Anything red,
You know,
Like beets,
You know,
It's also very good to eat beets for your root chakra.
So any color coordinating food,
Red peppers,
Is very good for your root chakra.
Any red raspberries is a good one as well.
Okay,
So those are the foods that can help to balance your chakras and specifically the red with your root chakra.
Okay,
So we're gonna move.
We got a little bit of movement going on.
We're starting to feel some balance in the root,
Right?
The groundedness,
The movement that's helping any type of stagnancy that you've been feeling in your in your knees,
In your thighs,
In your hips,
In your life,
You know.
So we're starting at the very root,
The base.
And so we move from the root chakra and then we go into the sacral,
Right?
The sacral is going to be the color orange.
It's located in your womb.
It's located in your pelvic area.
This is the place that represents your sensuality,
Your sexuality,
Your creativity.
So any type of creativity that you're experiencing,
It can come from the sacral area,
That color orange.
So if you're having any kind of creative blocks,
If you're not feeling desirable,
Any kind of blocks like that,
This is a really,
Really good practice for that.
And it's just to take your hands and hold that area gently.
And it's that opportunity to create just a little bit of attention there.
Because a lot of time,
The creative blocks,
The issues with like not being desired or not feeling confidence,
And there's a lot of different emotions and feelings that come with the sacral area.
But the main thing I want you to think about when you're holding your hands in this space is just how you are bringing attention to it and just offering a simple practice of holding that space.
Just holding that space and then gently lifting your hands up,
Palms facing upward,
And just allowing yourself to feel the movement in your fingers as you move them back and forth.
And then take your hands and put them back on that space.
I'm going to do this for three times.
So that was the first time.
Remember,
This is a color orange.
So oranges are wonderful for this area.
Carrots as well would be good for this area for your sacral chakra.
And then we're just going to go ahead and put the hands back in the position where they're facing palms up.
And we're just moving our fingers again.
And just pay attention and look at your fingers as you're moving them.
And then just kind of feel that feeling in your hands.
And then put them back on your sacral.
And what we're doing is once again,
We're just allowing that movement to come through.
We're releasing any stagnancy to create movement,
To create balance.
And then we move up right above your navel.
And again,
I want you to just put your hands,
Rest your hands.
It's going to be about,
Say about three to five fingers above your navel.
And just rest your hands in that space.
However you want to rest them.
I'm resting mine side by side,
One hand facing one way and one hand facing the other,
Holding that space,
Right?
So this is all just helping to hold space.
As we move through the chakra system,
The seven primary chakras,
We actually have a total of 114,
But seven primary.
So we're specifically working with the solar plexus and this is going to be the color yellow.
Okay,
So lemons is good.
Bananas are really good for this area.
Yellow squash,
Great for this area.
Now,
This can also represent confidence and self-esteem.
And so if you feel like you struggle with self-esteem at all,
You know,
This is a really,
Really good practice to eat the foods that I mentioned,
Or again,
Any foods with the color that is yellow for your solar plexus.
And to feel into,
Just saying to yourself,
Whatever affirmation comes to mind,
Something that feels good to say that you appreciate about yourself,
Just allowing yourself to give yourself some respect,
Something that builds your confidence.
When you think about your strengths,
When you think about things that you appreciate about you,
Just take a moment and think about a couple of those things.
What does somebody else share with you that they really appreciate about you?
And just hold that,
Hold that with the color yellow and give yourself a nice hug.
Just give yourself a nice hug and sit with that hug and just feel that hug.
And now we're going to move into the heart chakra.
So the heart chakra is going to be over the left side of your chest,
Of course,
Where your heart is.
That's where the chakra is.
And I just want you to place a hand,
Either one hand or both hands on this space.
Just take a minute to feel your heart beating.
Now we've worked with already the root chakra,
The sacral chakra,
Moved into the solar plexus.
So we went from red to orange to yellow.
And now we're working with the heart chakra,
The color green.
So any kind of leafy green,
Being able to just sit with that hand over your heart and then take your other hand and place it over your solar plexus because we're just working with your self-esteem.
We are giving you the opportunity to give yourself some love with that nice hug,
That nice embrace for you.
And now we're finding that balance between that hug and holding your heart,
Thinking about that color green.
And this is really about how we love ourselves and how we love others.
So how am I showing up with love for me?
And that could be holding boundaries and that could also be respecting somebody else's boundaries.
So just thinking about how you are asking for what you need or if maybe you're not right now,
How can you give yourself that love by asking for what you need in a specific relationship?
And are you respecting other people's boundaries?
This is a really good way to work on the heart chakra because it creates further connection.
And then we move into the throat chakra and that's the color blue.
One of the best things for the throat chakra is going to be blueberries.
Now when you are eating these different fruits and vegetables that are relative to the colors that go with the different chakras,
Be thinking about the color,
Be thinking about the chakra as you're eating these foods.
So with the throat chakra,
It's like how I'm speaking to myself and how I'm speaking to others.
So in this space,
It's like being able to sing.
Singing is a great way to continue to balance the throat chakra,
Being able to just speak your truth,
Being able to listen to others when they speak,
Huge.
And so I want you to just consider taking a second and just humming and we just do the threes.
We're into one more round of that.
And what you're going to notice as you do that is you're going to feel how your system is starting to balance as we're moving through your system.
And the next one's going to be your third eye and that's going to be the indigo color.
Okay.
And so indigo,
Third eye,
The brow chakra,
And this is your intuition.
So I want you to just take your middle finger and just hold the section right there between your eyebrows.
And I want you to just press gently right there.
And this is just a way to give appreciation for your intuition.
Right.
And you can also,
After we do this massage for a second with middle finger,
Just in between the brow.
Okay.
Now we're going to take our hands and put them at the center of the forehead.
And we're going to meet our fingers right at where in between the brows,
Where the third eye chakra is.
And we're going to gently move our hands across our forehead,
Away from each other on our forehead.
And this is just opening up that intuition and that third eye gently.
We're just going to do that three times again.
So this is trusting your intuition.
This is allowing yourself to trust your own resonance,
If you will.
And the thing that helps this chakra is going to be any type of really good herbal tea and different essential oils,
Depending on which ones resonate with you.
I would go off the smell and if any of them are resonating with you,
Choose to put a dab of that on this space.
And just once again,
You can press,
I was saying the middle finger,
But if you have other fingers that you are feeling you would like to press on that space,
Please pick whatever finger works for you as you massage that area.
Tea is really,
Really good for the third eye.
And meditation is very good for the third eye.
And then we're going to move up to our last chakra.
And that is going to be the crown chakra.
So as we go from root to rise,
We meet all the way at rise.
And this is going to be the color purple.
Okay,
So red grapes are really good for the crown chakra.
Again,
Any type of herbal tea is extremely good for the crown chakra.
And so as we move all the way through the system,
And we just create a very gentle balance across all your chakras,
We've created movement,
We've held space,
We've allowed the opportunity to just be present,
Be present with this process.
And so as we are at the crown,
I just want you to take your hand and place it on top of your head.
And then sit with that as you feel the balance through your whole entire system.
And then I want you to take that hand and flip it right side up and place that on top of your head.
And then I want you to take the other hand,
Palm face up as well,
And put that on top of that hand,
Resting on the top of your head,
Sitting right on top of the crown chakra.
And then I want you,
As you would like,
Can sit with us for a few minutes,
Allow yourself to feel that balance through your system.
And then take your hands and stretch them all the way up with your palms facing outward,
With the backs of the palms touching,
Hands raised all the way up,
And then just slowly move them around you to your sides.
And what this is doing is just creating root to rise and rise to root.
The balancing is all the way from the root to the crown,
From the crown to the root.
Thank you so much for practicing with me,
For the opportunity to be in this space with you,
And I look forward to the next time we meet.
Namaste.
The light in me acknowledges and sees the light in you.
