Hello and good morning.
My name is Annabelle and let's start the day off calmly.
A wise man once said,
If you breathe like a calm person,
You become a calm person.
So we're going to start our meditation today with a few deep breaths.
It's said that the perfect human breath is five to six seconds in,
A slight pause at the top,
And then five to six seconds out,
And a slight pause at the bottom.
So let's try that together.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Hold.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Hold.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Hold.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Hold.
And allow your breath to deepen even more naturally,
Trying to send your breath all the way down to your belly,
And keeping those exhales long.
What I want you to start to think of is a form of nature that makes you feel so calm and so whole.
It could be standing outside in the rain,
It could be laying in the sun,
Walking through the forest.
Whatever it is,
I want you to imagine being there right now.
I want you to remember how it feels when nature is touching your skin.
What temperature is it?
Is it wet,
Humid,
Or dry?
How bright is it?
And what sounds are around you?
Are they loud or quiet?
What smells are around you?
How does your body feel right now?
How can you sink more into nature?
Taking a look around your fantasy,
Can you see anything else?
Taking a deep breath in,
And a deep breath out.
Allowing this sense of calm to stay with you all day,
Inviting the relaxation in your body,
To find a home in yourselves,
To find a home in you.
Remember that the breath is something that will carry you through every moment.
And if you breathe like a calm person,
You become a calm person.
I hope you have an absolutely wonderful day.
I'll see you tomorrow.
