Hello dear one,

It's time to rest now.

You've done enough for today.

You've thought enough,

Tried enough,

Cared enough.

There is nothing more you need to figure out or fix in this moment.

Take a deep breath in and let it fall out slowly.

Feel the weight of the day begin to melt away.

Your shoulders drop,

Your face softens,

Your heart begins to open again.

Feel the soft rhythm of your breath becoming slower,

Quieter.

Notice how even your breath begins to cradle you.

You are safe to rest.

You are allowed to exhale completely,

To let every moment of effort drift away.

Right now,

Peace is enough.

All the thoughts that have followed you through the hours,

The little worries,

The unfinished tasks,

The what ifs,

Let them drift like leaves in a slow moving river,

They can wait.

Right now,

You are being invited to come home to stillness.

Imagine God's presence filling the room,

Soft,

Golden and kind.

He whispers,

Rest my child,

I've got it all handled.

Let those words sink into the quiet spaces inside you.

Feel how tender that truth is,

That you are not alone in your surrender.

The weight you've been holding can fall gently into his hands now.

Now bring your awareness to your heart,

Place your hand there if it feels comforting.

Feel its steady rhythm,

Your life pulsing with God's grace.

Every beat says,

I am here,

I am loved,

I am safe.

Imagine a warm light growing there,

Spreading gently through your body.

This light is peace.

It moves through your chest,

Your shoulders,

Your arms,

Your hands.

It flows down your spine,

Into your legs,

Into your feet.

Every part of you softens beneath this light.

You are being wrapped in peace,

Like being tucked beneath the softest blanket of love.

Let that blanket feel like a promise,

A reminder,

That even as you rest,

The world is held in love.

You can release your guard.

You can exhale the whole day away.

You don't need to try to fall asleep.

You don't need to control your breath or stop your thoughts.

Just listen to the gentle hum of your own being,

To the quiet whisper of God within you saying,

Be still and know that I am.

Let yourself sink deeper into that presence.

You are resting in the heart of something holy.

The world will keep spinning,

The sun will rise again,

But for now,

You are free to dissolve and to rest.

Let that truth flow through you.

There is no urgency here,

No doing left to do,

Only being,

Only breath,

Only love.

As you drift,

Imagine all the pieces of your day being lifted,

Each thought,

Each emotion,

Each small ache gently rising from you like mist in the morning light.

God gathers them all with love,

Whispering,

You've done enough,

My child.

Your body grows heavier in the bed,

Your mind quieter,

Your breath slower.

This is the sacred surrender of sleep,

When your spirit returns to peace and your body renews in his care.

Every exhale is a prayer of release,

Every inhale a soft receiving of grace.

Let yourself trust this rhythm,

You are being restored,

You are being renewed.

Now as you fade towards sleep,

See yourself resting in God's hands,

You are held,

Protected and loved beyond measure.

There is no need to strive,

No need to think,

Only to rest.

Let your final conscious thought tonight be this prayer,

Father,

Thank you for carrying me,

Thank you for this breath,

This life,

This rest.

I am yours.

Let sleep come like a tide,

Washing softly over you.

You are home,

You are loved,

You are free.

And now let go completely,

Let yourself drift off,

Peacefully,

Softly,

Into the gentle arms of God.
