Good evening,
It's Gina here.
Tonight we're going on a very special adventure.
A journey with Sophie and her magic carpet to a secret shimmering cave deep beneath the earth.
So snuggle in,
Get comfy and let's begin.
The moonlight spilled softly through Sophie's window,
Painting silver shapes across her cozy room.
Her magic carpet lay quietly beside her bed,
Waiting.
Sophie smiled sleepily.
Where shall we go tonight?
She whispered.
The carpet gave a soft shimmer,
Like a star twinkling in the dark,
And lifted gently off the floor.
Sophie lay down,
Feeling the warm fabric beneath her soft as clouds.
Let's go somewhere mysterious,
She murmured,
Her eyes half closing.
With a swirl of sparkling dust and a breath of cool night air,
Whoosh,
They floated up and out into the starry sky.
They drifted over forests and rivers.
The world began glowing softly in the moonlight until the carpet began to glide down towards a mountainside.
There,
Hidden beneath a curtain of ivy,
Was the entrance to a cave,
Glowing faintly as if it was inviting them in.
The carpet floated inside,
Slow and gentle.
Sophie gasped softly.
The cave was magical.
Its floor wasn't made of stone,
But of crystal clear river.
The water was so pure that Sophie could see smooth pebbles resting at the bottom,
Glimmering like tiny gems.
The sound of the water was soft and musical,
Like a lullaby from the earth itself.
As they drifted deeper,
The cave ceiling began to sparkle.
Tiny glowworms dotted the roof like a thousand stars in the midnight sky.
Their light shimmered in the rippling water below,
Turning the cave into a dream of reflected starlight.
Sophie smiled and whispered,
It's like floating through the sky itself.
The carpet carried her onwards,
Deeper into the cave,
Until they reached a vast cavern,
Glowing with colour.
Crystals sprouted from the walls,
Pink,
Blue and golden,
All shining softly like they were lit from within.
As the air moved gently through the chamber,
The crystals began to hum,
Each one a different note.
Together they made a music so gentle and beautiful that Sophie felt it right in her heart.
She closed her eyes just listening,
The hum of the crystals,
The quiet trickle of water and the stillness of the glowing air.
Then,
From a shadowy corner,
Something small and friendly fluttered towards her,
A tiny bat,
Its wings shimmering like velvet.
Hello Sophie,
Said the bat in a soft,
Musical voice.
I am Luna,
This cave is where I sing to the night.
Luna settled on a glowing crystal and began to sing a lullaby.
Her voice was soft and low,
Wrapping around Sophie like a warm blanket.
It was a song of peace and dreams,
Of moonlight and still water.
The magic carpet swayed gently in time to the melody.
Sophie felt her eyelids grow heavy.
That was beautiful,
She whispered.
Thank you Luna.
Luna smiled.
Good night little traveller,
May your dreams be full of light.
The carpet turned quietly and began to float back through the glowing tunnels.
The glowworms twinkling like stars above her as she passed,
Their light guiding the way home.
Sophie rested her hands on her tummy and took a slow,
Deep breath in and out.
The carpet hummed softly beneath her,
Helping her breathe with the rhythm of the gentle water below.
Now you can do some slow,
Deep breaths with Sophie.
Breathing in,
The air fills me up with calm.
Breathing out,
I let go and soften.
Breathing in,
The air fills me up with calm.
Breathing out,
I let go and soften.
The stars outside the cave twinkled brighter as the carpet rose into the cool night air.
Sophie felt light,
Peaceful and safe.
Her body calm,
Her mind quiet.
The carpet floated through her open window,
Gliding softly back to her room.
It lowered Sophie gently into her bed,
Her golden hair glowing faintly in the moonlight.
The carpet gave one last shimmer,
A tiny flicker of blue light like a farewell sparkle from the cave and settled quietly on the floor beside her.
Sophie yawned and whispered,
Goodnight magic carpet.
Outside,
The stars blinked softly and if you listened very closely,
You could still hear the faint song of Luna the bat drifting on the wind.
Goodnight my friend.
