Welcome to Day 6 of our Sound and Self Love journey.
Today we explore the sacred art of rest,
The deep letting go that allows your body and mind to restore,
Renew and heal.
In our busy world,
Rest is not laziness.
It's a wisdom.
It's a courage to stop,
To be still,
To let yourself simply exist without doing.
Today you give yourself permission to do absolutely nothing except to receive the gift of deep relaxation.
Set your intention.
I allow myself to rest completely and trust in my body's natural wisdom to restore itself.
Lay down on your back,
Making yourself as comfortable as possible.
Place a soft pillow on your head.
Let your legs fall slightly apart,
Your arms rest loosely by your sides,
Palms facing up in a gesture of complete openness and receptivity.
Close your eyes and allow your entire body to begin sinking into the surface beneath you.
Feel supported,
Held,
Cradled by the earth.
If you have a life blanket nearby,
Cover yourself with it.
This is about creating a cocoon of warmth and safety.
For the next 15 minutes,
Give yourself complete permission to have nowhere to go,
Nothing to do,
No one to.
Let go of your to-do lists,
Your worries,
Your plans.
Take a break.
This time is sacred and it belongs entirely to you.
Imagine you are laying on a soft white cloud,
Floating peacefully in a clear blue sky.
Nothing can disturb you here.
Whisper to yourself,
I allow myself complete rest.
I deserve this peace.
Feel your body beginning to release,
Beginning to trust,
Beginning to let go.
Begin at the very top of your head.
Feel the weight of your head sinking into the pillow.
On your exhale,
Make a long ah sound,
Releasing any tension held in your scalp,
Your forehead.
Let your eyebrows soften.
Your eyes sink deeper into your sockets.
Ah sound as you release your cheeks,
Your jaw.
Allow your tongue to become heavy in your mouth.
Let your lips part slightly.
Your entire face is melting into complete relaxation.
Feel your neck.
So much tension leaves here from holding on the weight of thoughts,
Of responsibilities.
Let your neck sink deeper into support.
You don't have to hold your head up anymore.
Your shoulders,
They carry so much.
On your exhale,
Let them melt away from your ears.
Sinking into the surface beneath you.
Your arms become heavy,
So heavy,
Like they are filled with warm sand.
Let the last bit of holding go between your hands,
Your fingers.
Your chest expands and softens with each breath,
Releasing any tightness around your heart,
Your lungs.
Feel your ribcage widening,
Your back body springing and releasing into the floor.
Your belly rises and falls naturally.
Let go of any tension in your core,
Your lower back.
Imagine each internal organ settling into its perfect place,
Relaxed and at peace.
Keep sinking heavy into the surface,
Your thighs,
Your knees releasing as a sound.
Your calves,
Your shins,
Letting go completely.
Your feet,
They carry you everywhere.
Let them rest completely now.
As you release your toes,
Your heels,
Every small muscle in your feet,
Your entire body is now completely relaxed,
Completely supported,
Completely at peace.
Your breath is natural now,
Effortless.
You don't need to control it.
When you exhale,
Add a gentle 68 seconds of pure release.
With each ahhh,
Feel the stress of your day clean your body,
All the tension,
All the efforts flowing out through your breath.
Let the sound carry away anything you no longer need to hold.
And now your exhale becomes like gentle waves,
Rhythmic like ocean waves on a peaceful shore.
Imagine you are laying on a warm sand by a calm sea.
The shhhh of your breath matches the sound of gentle waves.
Each wave breath washes over you,
Washing away tension,
Worry,
Any concerns of your future.
You are being cleansed by a rhythm of your own peaceful breathing.
It is softer now.
Your exhale becomes like a gentle breeze.
Imagine warm healing wind moving through your body,
Carrying away everything heavy,
Everything unnecessary.
This gentle wind breath leaves behind only lightness,
Only peace,
Only the pure essence of who you are.
Your breathing becomes almost silent now.
If sound comes,
Let it be only the softest whisper,
Ahhh,
Release control over your breath completely.
Your body knows how to breathe.
Your body knows how to rest.
Trust this ancient wisdom.
Trust this natural rhythm.
Trust the intelligence of rest.
And very quietly begin the sound SO on your inhale,
HUM on your exhale.
SO HUM means I'm there,
The most basic acknowledgement of your existence.
The sound is so soft,
It's almost just a thought,
Almost just a vibration in your chest.
Imagine you are in deep,
In a peaceful forest,
With the gentle sounds of nature.
The wind moving through trees,
Like the distant hum of bees.
Choose one of these sounds and stay with it for a few moments.
You are part of nature,
Nature is part of you.
You belong to this peace.
Gradually let the sounds become quieter and quieter.
Until they exist only inside your mind.
Then let even the inner sounds fade into perfect silence.
Listen to the silence between your heartbeats.
Rest in the space between your thoughts.
This is the deepest rest,
The rest of pure being,
Pure awareness,
Pure peace.
You are now in the state between sleeping and waking,
Aware but completely relaxed.
Your consciousness is clear,
Like a still lake,
But your body is deeply at rest.
If thoughts arise,
Let them float across the sky of your mind like clouds.
You don't need to follow them.
You are the peaceful observer,
Resting in pure awareness.
Imagine golden healing light filling every cell of your body.
This light carries perfect health,
Perfect peace,
Perfect restoration.
Feel your body using this time to heal itself,
To renew itself,
To restore its natural balance.
Every cell is being bathed in healing light.
You are being renewed on the inside out.
From the place of deep peace,
Thank your body for its ability to rest,
To restore,
To heal.
Thank you for this deep peace.
I am restored and renewed.
Feel gratitude for this time you've given yourself.
This precious gift of rest.
Very slowly begin to wiggle your fingers and toes like gentle waves returning to shore.
Stretch your arms overhead if that feels good,
Like you're greeting the day after the most peaceful sleep.
Take a few deeper breaths,
Feeling refreshed,
Renewed,
Restored.
And when you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes,
Bringing this sense of deep peace with you into this world.
You are rested,
Renewed,
And you carry this sanctuary of peace within you,
Always.
Thank you.
