The focus of this meditation is on grounding your awareness. This is a good habit to get into before continuing into your main meditative practices or as a meditation in and of itself. This practice grounds your awareness and helps bring your internal energies down from the upper regions of your body, such as your head, where you might spend too much time. Where awareness goes, energy flows. In doing this you bring about a sense of groundedness, calmness, relaxation, and ease to your current form. This is a perfect platform from which to move into your main meditative practice or to start or end your day.

The focus of this meditation is on grounding your awareness.

This is a good habit to get into before continuing into your main meditative practices or as a meditation in and of itself.

Begin by bringing your attention into your body and allow the locus of your awareness to descend from the top of your crown down through the center of your body and let it find its way to your base.

Find your base.

You might experience this most strongly in your sit bones or your perineum perhaps.

Once you've found your base or what feels like your base we just hold here.

Just hold your awareness right here.

This practice is this simple.

Just resting with what we might call your base chakra,

The root of your physical being,

Resting right here.

Just hold.

Just rest.

We do this practice because it grounds our awareness and helps bring our internal energies down from the upper regions of our body such as our head where they arguably spend too much time.

Where awareness goes,

Energy flows.

And in doing this we bring about a sense of groundedness,

Calmness,

Relaxation and ease to our current form.

This is now a perfect platform from which to move into your main meditative practice or to start or to end your day.

For the rest of the session enjoy what your base has to offer you.
