It will serve as a gentle check-in,
Sort of an opportunity to pause and reflect on who you are right now without any kind of judgment or pressure to change anything.
It's just an acknowledgement.
So let's begin by settling into your breath.
Let's start by taking a slow inhale through your nose for a count of six.
And we're going to hold that for two seconds and then exhale through your mouth for a count of eight seconds.
So let's settle into this moment with a slow inhale through your nose for a count of six.
And hold.
And exhale through your mouth for a count of eight.
We're going to do that again.
Take a slow inhale through your nose for six.
Hold.
And exhale through your mouth.
I just want to encourage you to allow your body to arrive here.
Let your shoulders soften and let your jaw relax.
Allow your breath to create space here.
And if it feels comfortable for you,
Gently close your eyes.
I want you to bring your attention to where your body meets the surface beneath you.
Notice the support that's holding you up right now in place.
You don't need to go anywhere.
You don't need to do anything,
Become anything.
This moment is just about noticing.
No judgment.
I want you to take another slow,
Deep breath in.
We're going to steady breath out.
I just want you to in exhale with a loud ah.
Let's take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
Fill your lungs.
Fill your belly.
And then exhale through your mouth.
Let's do a check-in together.
Gently ask yourself,
Who am I right now?
Not who you've been.
Not who others expect you to be.
Just who you are in this moment.
What comes up for you?
Is it a feeling,
A word,
A picture or even might even be uncertain.
That's fine too.
All of those things belong right now.
Let whatever wants to come up release and surface.
Now ask yourself,
What feels most true about me today?
What feels most true about me today?
Again,
Let the answers surface without any type of force.
No judgment.
Remember this is just information,
Not an evaluation.
Gently reflect.
Now lovely,
Ask yourself,
What feels heavy?
What feels kind of misaligned or out of sync for you?
This is not a time to fix it.
Just want to notice it.
Let's just reflect.
Whatever came up,
Release that and bring your attention back to your body.
Are you feeling any tension?
Do a quick scan starting from your toes,
Up your ankles,
Your calves.
Just noticing any tension.
Your thighs,
Lower back and abs,
Upper back and chest.
Any tension?
Your shoulders,
Your upper arms,
Your forearms,
Your wrists,
Your fingers,
Your jaw,
Your cheeks,
Your forehead,
The crown of your head.
Any tension?
Just reflect.
Lovely,
Identity is not static.
It often shifts with experience,
With your growth and as you become more aware of yourself.
The aim for this check-in is not about labeling yourself.
It's about staying connected.
Connected to who you are as you evolve.
And as we end this practice,
Let's end with an intentional deep breath.
Another count for six through our nose,
Hold for two,
And then exhale through our mouths for eight.
Let's do that on your own.
And as we close,
Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Allow your eyes to slowly open.
Be aware of the space you are in.
And give yourself much,
Much,
Much deserved love for checking in with yourself today.
