Hello,
Lovelies.
My name is Dr.
Simone from Blackmagic Brand.
This meditation is an invitation really to stay with yourself today,
To hold on to yourself,
To remain connected to who you are,
Even when situations and environment shifts around you.
Let's stay true to who you are.
So,
As always,
Here on the Insight Timer,
I'd like to begin with our breath.
We'll do some box breathing with a slow inhale through your nose for a count of six.
Then we hold that for a count of two.
Then we exhale through our mouths for a count of eight.
So we're going to begin now with a slow inhale through our nose for six.
And hold for two.
And exhale through your mouth for a count of eight.
You just want to settle into this moment right now.
No judgment,
No expectations.
Let's take another deep breath in through your nose for six.
Hold and release that through your mouth for eight.
Allow your body right now to settle without trying to change anything.
This is not about calming down,
It's just about being present.
And if it feels comfortable for you,
Gently close your eyes.
Lovely.
Bring your awareness to your breath as it moves in and out.
Notice the steady rhythm.
And when thoughts come in,
Thoughts shift.
When emotions change,
Your breath is constant.
It continues.
Let that rhythm remind you that you're still here.
You are you.
Let that arrive for you however you allow it this moment.
As you breathe,
I invite you to gently reflect on this question.
Where in my life do I feel pulled to perform,
To adapt,
To edit myself?
Just let whatever comes up arrive.
No judgment,
No analysis.
Just notice what comes up.
Notice where your sense of self may feel like it's being stretched.
As we transition,
Ask yourself,
What part of me remains constant?
Even when I have to shift,
Even when I have to adjust,
Notice what comes up.
You may feel subtle,
And that's fine.
How are you changing yourself?
And what stays?
What remains?
And as we transition to some body awareness,
The goal here is to hold steady.
Bring your attention to your spine.
Notice its natural uprightness.
Not rigid,
Not flopped over.
This posture mirrors how identity development works.
It's flexible,
But solid.
Breathe into that steadiness.
Feel that confidence with that steadiness.
Notice how your body reacts and responds when you're staying with yourself,
When you're connected.
When you're connected to yourself.
What happens to your body when you drift away from yourself,
When you have to perform?
No judgment here.
You're just noticing.
Just being aware.
Allow that awareness to deepen right now.
Let whatever come up,
Let it be.
And be brave,
Let it sit with you without judgment.
Just let it be.
You know,
For many of us,
We learn to look outward for clues in order to get approval,
In order to remain safe,
In order to know what direction to go.
But in this moment,
I want you to do yourself a solid and shift your attention inward.
I'm not asking you to decide on anything or to get clarity about anything in the future.
This is simply about staying connected to yourself right now as the world continues to move around you.
Notice any tightness that you may be carrying throughout your body right now.
And if you do feel any tightness,
Just breathe into that area that you feel that tightness.
As we continue this journey of identity development together,
Lovely,
Just remember that it's not only about self-discovery.
It's all about continuity.
Staying with yourself across any rules,
Spaces,
Expectations,
Circles.
I hope that this was able to strengthen that capacity.
As you are going to be tried and have great expectations today.
Remember that who you are,
Who you decide to show up is incredible.
It is magical.
No editing is required.
Feel how that lands for you right now.
And as we come to a close,
Let's draw your attention back into the space that you're in.
Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes and allow your eyes to open slowly.
Thank you so much for taking this moment to stay true to yourself,
To holding on to who you are,
No matter when things may shift.
I hope this steadiness acts as a support as you move throughout the rest of your day today.
And before you plug into your day and jump on the socials,
I invite you to spend some time writing,
Putting pen to paper.
Write about moments when you feel pulled away from yourself.
It's not about judgment,
Just again,
Reflection.
Write about what happens and what helps when you stay internally connected.
What does it look like when you remain who you are in a changing environment?
What happens on the inside?
Again,
I hope this reflection strengthens your identity development.
Again,
Where your focus goes,
Your energy flows,
Lovely.
Peace and love,
Dr.
Simone.
