Welcome.
This one is for the days when the body feels dim.
Like a house at dusk where nobody's turned the lights on yet.
We're going to warm things up a little slowly.
Room by room.
Start with your hands.
Bring your palms together and gently rub them against each other.
Slowly at first.
Feel the friction begin to build a little warmth.
Little faster if you like.
Let the warmth grow.
This is you generating heat.
Your own energy.
Your own aliveness.
Right there in your hands.
Now pause and just feel the warmth in your palms.
That tingling glowing feeling.
Let it be interesting for you.
And if it feels okay,
Place those warm hands somewhere on your body that could use a little kindness.
Your heart maybe.
Your belly.
The sides of your face.
Let the warmth soak in.
Like light coming into a room.
Now let's wake up one more place.
Gently squeeze one forearm with your opposite hand.
A slow,
Kind squeeze.
Like wringing warmth into it.
And move up the arm a little at a time,
Taking your time.
And now the other arm if you'd like.
And let's notice now,
Is anything even there?
One degree brighter.
Than when we started.
A hand,
An arm.
A patch of warmth somewhere.
It doesn't need to be much.
Dusk to early lamplight is enough.
Your body has been keeping the lights low.
To save you energy.
And that deserves thanks and gratitude.
Rather than criticism.
And we're allowed to turn a few lights on.
Whenever we choose.
And let's take a breath now at whatever depth feels natural.
And come back at your own pace.
