Hi,
My name is Dike and welcome to the FEM Embodiment Quest.
This is day number seven and the word we're working with today is feel,
Which means we're going to be tapping into the feeling sense,
Feeling what's happening inside of your body and bring some more awareness to that.
Because we tend to live so much in our head that we forget that there is such a thing as the body.
And the body constantly tries to communicate with us.
It's actually really,
Really powerful.
But often it doesn't do that through logical words.
It does that through sensations,
Through feelings.
And so basically with this embodiment practice,
We're going to really tap into and connect to ourselves,
To our body,
And give space in a very yin sort of way to feel,
To open up,
To listen in to what the body has to communicate.
For that,
What I'd recommend is either that you sit up or that you sort of prop yourself up,
That you can lean back a little bit,
But not fully lying flat,
Because I want you to really be aware and not just fall asleep.
But I want you to be comfortable at the same time.
So really finding a way in which you can be comfortable and which you can be relaxed,
Yet active and present and aware at the same time.
So take a moment to set yourself up.
So either sitting or sort of lying down,
Propping yourself up with some pillows.
And then you can place your hands on your heart or in front of your heart in sort of prayer motion.
And then taking a moment to connect to that theme of today,
The word feel.
One bell marks the start.
Three bells mark the end of this embodiment practice.
And then from here,
Placing your hands on your lower belly.
You can place them in a triangle or just relaxing there.
Your eyes are closed.
And our womb is basically the center.
Connects us to this theme of feeling,
To our emotions.
This is where they originate,
Connected to our cyclical nature.
I'm just feeling the warmth of your hands,
Maybe noticing how your hands gently rise with every inhale that your body takes,
And how they gently release.
How they gently drop with every exhale.
That so naturally happens.
And then from here,
Taking a deep breath in,
Filling up your lungs.
Exhale,
Open mouth,
Relax jaw,
Side out.
Deep breath in.
Exhale,
Let it go.
And once more,
Breath in.
Exhale,
Side out.
And from here,
Just noticing and witnessing what's happening in your face and your jaw.
And if you're noticing you're still clenching or holding on,
See if you can just relax your jaw.
Relax your mouth,
Maybe your lips gently separate.
Maybe you're relaxing your tongue.
Sinking down into your shoulders and just letting your shoulders get heavy.
Let them relax down or into the surface that you're resting against.
Lowering down into your lower belly where your hands are still resting.
You can give your belly a few gentle belly rubs,
Letting your belly relax,
Puff out naturally.
No need to suck it in.
And then letting the awareness sink into your legs,
Your hips.
All the way down into your feet.
And from here,
You can let your arms rest by your side or on your knees or lap.
Fingers relaxed,
Let them curl up naturally.
One more deep breath in here.
Exhale,
Let it go.
And then from here,
I want you to tune in with your body.
So the awareness with your entire body and then just asking your body and tuning in.
What do I feel?
Is there a specific area of the body that needs a little bit extra attention,
Extra love,
Extra care?
And just placing your hand on that part of your body.
And if there's not naturally something that arises or there's nothing much to feel,
Then just lifting your hands up and trusting wherever they land first.
And so your hand is now resting on a part of that body where there is something to feel.
Breathing into that part of your body.
Whether that's physically possible or not doesn't really matter.
Breathing,
Guiding the intention,
The energy into the space below your hand.
Taking three breaths into that space.
And then from there,
Allow your fingertips to tap a little bit onto that part of the body.
While you keep directing your breathing there and maybe even naturally a sound wants to come out also.
So just express whatever is there to be felt.
And maybe there's actual feelings or emotions arising if that's the case.
Just allowing them to come out,
To be felt,
To be expressed.
Maybe there's no real expression that comes and that's totally all right.
Just keeping your awareness,
Your attention there.
Maybe letting the tapping come to rest.
Feeling that presence of your hand.
And you can ask your body,
And specifically this part of your body,
If there was a healing color that it needed,
What would that color be?
Just trusting whatever color comes.
You can imagine that there's this ball of light with that color just below your hand starting to light up.
Illuminate that whole part below your hand and from there throughout the rest of your body.
And then asking this part of your body,
What's the healing message or what is the message that it carries?
What is it trying to communicate?
Again,
Trusting whatever comes,
Whether it's in the visual or in the words or in the sensation.
And then lastly,
Asking this part of your body,
What's the practical step connected to that message?
What is the practical step connected to that message?
And then from here,
We're going to finish off with one full body caress.
You can gently lift your hand from that part of the body where it was resting on.
You're going to caress from top,
From your crown,
Only stroking down towards your feet.
Repeating the color,
The message,
And the practical step that were communicated.
So for me,
That was green,
So I'm saying green.
The message is I'm feeling scared and a little vulnerable.
The practical step was stay close to your truth.
Express,
Communicate your truth.
So green,
The color,
The message,
And the practical step.
Anchoring that into your body.
And then placing your hands in front of your chest.
Taking a moment here to thank yourself.
To thank your body for being brave enough to feel and to listen.
Those three bells mark the end of this feel,
Embody,
And practice.
Thank you.
