Hello and welcome to this guided meditation.
As the world around us becomes progressively busier comes more important to take the time out to create a space of calm and relaxation.
If it's possible I now invite you to find a space where you won't be disturbed for the next few minutes.
Whether you're sat up or laid down I welcome you to get just a little bit more comfier and your body as much support as possible.
Giving yourself total permission to enjoy this process.
Softly relaxing the eyes closed,
Allowing the hands to open and inviting the breath to become present.
Just noticing the breath as it comes in and out.
Knowing that this breath will always be an anchor.
Recognizing the state of your mind today.
Do your thoughts feel fast and overwhelming?
Are they moving at a reasonable rate?
Just knowing that each and every thought is only a visitor.
To expand on this we can begin to notice our mind space like the bright blue sky.
Vast,
Open and infinite.
Now as each thought begins to come back through whether they be big thoughts or little thoughts I just want you to be able to become aware of them.
Imagining that each thought is like a cloud in the sky.
Some clouds are big and white and fluffy and some clouds are dark and grey and gloomy.
But each cloud in the sky moves.
It always moves forward.
Maybe there seems to be some clouds that feel bigger.
Patience and presence.
We can start to pull ourselves away from that cloud.
Picturing the bright blue sky behind the clouds and in its own time letting that cloud just follow on by.
Maybe using the breath to add some wind into that sky.
Breathing in through the nose and a long exhale out the mouth.
Inhale and exhale.
Inhale and exhale.
Continuing this process allowing the clouds to continue to pass.
Remembering that the bright blue sky is always available and knowing that under each and every cloud the sun will always be shining.
Feeling full with this calm clear energy.
Softly allow a smile to grace your face and in your own way and in your own time link your eyes open and bring yourself back into the space.
