You might begin by finding a comfortable position.
Lying down or sitting somewhere,
You can be supported.
Let your body settle.
Let the surface beneath you hold your weight.
You don't have to fix or fight anything right now.
You can simply rest and breathe.
Take a slow inhale through your nose.
And a gentle exhale through your mouth.
As you breathe,
Notice the places in your body that feel tense or tired.
You don't have to change them,
Just notice.
Let your attention drift down to your feet.
Feel the weight of them.
The shape of them,
The way they meet the ground.
If it feels okay,
Imagine a soft warmth gathering there,
Like sunlight touching the tops of your feet.
Let that warmth move slowly into your ankles.
Your calves.
Your shins.
If there's discomfort here,
You don't have to push it away.
Just breathe around it,
As if you're giving it a little more room.
Now bring your awareness to your knees.
Notice any sensations,
Pressure,
Heaviness,
Tightness,
Or even ease.
Let your breath soften this space.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Move your attention up through your thighs,
Your hips,
Your lower belly.
Let each breath soften what it touches.
Now bring your awareness to your lower back.
This is a place that works hard for you.
If there's pain here,
See if you can meet it with gentleness.
Imagine your breath flowing into your lower back,
Not to fix anything,
But to offer comfort.
Let your awareness rise to your belly.
Feel the rise and fall with each breath.
Let it be easy.
Now bring your attention to your chest.
Notice the movement of your breath here,
The subtle expansion,
The soft release.
If you notice tightness,
Imagine the breath moving through that space,
Making room for ease.
Let your shoulders drop away from your ears.
Let your jaw loosen.
Let your face soften.
Now gently bring your awareness to the place in your body that's calling for attention today.
The place that hurts,
Or feels tense,
Or simply needs care.
You don't have to resist it.
You don't have to brace against it.
Just notice it.
Pain is the body asking for kindness.
You can offer that now.
Imagine a soft,
Warm light resting where it hurts.
Not to erase it,
But to hold it.
Each inhale brings in comfort.
Each exhale releases resistance.
Let the light expand with every breath,
Spreading through your body,
Softening the edges of discomfort.
Bringing warmth to the places that need it most.
If your mind wanders,
That's okay.
Just come back to the breath.
And the light.
Let the warmth move through your arms,
Your hands,
Your fingertips.
Let it move up through your neck.
Your throat,
Your jaw.
Let it soften the space between your eyes,
Across your forehead,
Around your temples.
Your whole body held in warmth.
Your whole body support it.
You are safe.
You are supported.
Underneath everything there is peace and it belongs to you.
Take one more slow breath in.
And a long gentle breath out.
You can stay here as long as you need.
When you're ready,
Let your awareness widen back out to the room around you.
Feel the steadiness beneath you.
The air around you.
The quiet strength within you.
