Welcome to day 5 of our Navaratri meditation journey.
During these sacred 9 days of Navaratri,
We explore different divine energies that guide us towards balance and inner awakening.
Each day invites us to discover a deeper quality within ourselves.
Today,
We honor the fifth form of the Goddess,
Skand Mata.
The energy of Skand Mata represents motherly compassion,
Protection and unconditional love.
The name Skand Mata means the mother of Lord Skanda,
Also known as Kartikeya.
In this form,
The Goddess is often depicted holding her child with deep care and love.
This divine image symbolizes nurturing,
Protection and emotional warmth.
The energy of Skand Mata reminds us of the power of kindness and compassion.
Just as a mother cares for her child with patience and understanding,
We too must learn to treat ourselves and others with gentleness.
In our busy lives,
We often become too critical of ourselves.
We judge our mistakes,
We carry emotional burdens and sometimes forget to show ourselves the same compassion we show to others.
The energy of Skand Mata helps us open our hearts,
Release emotional heaviness and reconnect with the healing power of love and kindness.
Today's meditation will guide you toward emotional balance,
Compassion and inner warmth.
We will now chant the mantra of Goddess Skand Mata 11 times.
You may softly repeat the mantra after me or simply listen and allow the sacred vibration to resonate within you.
The mantra is Om Devi Skand Mata Namah Om Devi Skand Mata Namah Allow the calming vibration of the mantra to soften your health.
Now,
Gently close your eyes.
Take a slow deep breath in and slowly breathe out.
Again,
Breathe in deeply and gently release the breath.
Allow your breathing to become calm and natural.
Now,
Bring your awareness to your heart center.
Imagine a soft,
Warm light glowing within your heart.
This light represents compassion and unconditional love.
With every breath in,
Allow this warm light to grow brighter.
With every breath out,
Release emotional tensions,
Hurt or heaviness.
Now,
Imagine this gentle light surrounding your entire heart.
It brings comfort,
Healing and emotional peace.
Now,
Silently repeat within yourself,
I treat myself with kindness.
My heart is open to compassion.
I allow love and peace to flow through me.
Feeling the nurturing energy of Goddess Skand Mata,
Filling your heart with warmth and protection.
Rest peacefully in this feeling of love and calm.
Now,
Slowly bring your awareness back to your breath.
Take one deep breath in and gently release it.
When you feel ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Carry the compassionate energy of Skand Mata with you today.
Remember to treat yourself and others with the same kindness and care that nurtures the heart.
