This is an energising meditation that may help to re-charge you from within. We can tap into the prana/universal life-force within the breath to uplift our mind/body & move towards a more alert, refreshed state of being. Please note that any silences during the meditation are intentional. The hand mudra that is suggested is the cover photo or you may wish to simply relax your hands... Enjoy

Hello,

I'm Deborah.

This is a short meditation to help you to recharge,

Re-energise,

Reset a little.

Give yourself a moment to adjust your body until you feel settled.

Sit tall,

Feel comfortable and supported.

Feel that both feet are flat against the floor.

And you have the choice here to either relax both hands or you can place them in a specific position and mudra,

Which is prana mudra,

Which is associated with energy and vitality.

So for this,

The thumb on each hand touches the tip of the little finger and the ring finger.

The other two fingers,

The index and the middle can relax,

So don't hold them rigidly.

Let's begin by taking three breaths.

A slow inhale into the belly and a releasing sigh-like exhale through the mouth.

Let's do two more.

So we're going to continue breathing in through the nose and having that slow,

Gentle inhale and then we will retain the breath just for two or three silent counts.

And then when we exhale,

We will exhale through the mouth and imagine we're breathing out through a straw.

So let's begin.

Inhale through the nose.

Retain.

Exhale through the mouth.

Inhale through the nose.

And retain.

Exhale through the mouth.

Inhale through the nose.

Hold.

Exhale through the mouth.

Inhale nose.

Exhale through the nose.

Retain.

Exhale through the mouth.

Now continue for a few more breaths.

Not so it feels completely at your pace.

Feel on each inhale that the belly is naturally expanding.

Feel on each exhale that tension drops in the face,

Shoulders and body.

Let's do three more at your perfect pace.

Five,

Four and five.

At the end of this exhale,

Allow that all to just drop away.

Let your natural rhythm return.

Feel the breath moving through your body with complete ease now.

Notice how you feel energised,

Alert,

Refreshed.
