We live in a world that loves fast.
Get rich quick.
Lose weight fast.
Build muscle fast.
Learn a new skill in seven days.
The world nowadays is so fast and it's getting faster every day.
Even meditation is sometimes sold as a way to fix everything as quickly as possible.
But life,
It really works that way.
The things that usually last,
Take time.
Think about learning to play an instrument or building a strong relationship.
Recovering from an injury.
Changing old habits or growing as a person.
None of these things happen overnight.
Our body and mind often need time to adapt to change.
And when we rush the process,
We can end up feeling frustrated because the results don't come as quickly as we'd hoped.
But when we take the time to slow down.
When we take one small step at a time.
The changes often become part of who we are rather than something we're trying to achieve.
It's a bit like planting a tree.
You can't pull on the branches to make it grow any faster.
You water it,
You give it sunlight.
And you trust the process.
And maybe that's something many of us need reminding of,
That not everything has to happen today.
Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is just keep showing up.
Just take one small step.
One small practice,
One day at a time.
So if you'd like.
I invite you now just to Who knows?
And take a slow breath in.
And a gentle breath out.
Just allow yourself to come into the present moment,
Where you are right now.
And perhaps you can notice that nothing needs fixing right now and nothing needs to be rushed.
Perhaps growth isn't about moving any faster.
Maybe it's more about moving steadily.
Because slower doesn't always mean falling behind.
Sometimes,
I think,
Slower is exactly what allows us to move forward.
Thank you for listening.
Have a fantastic day.
