Please make yourself comfortable.
You are welcome to sit,
Stand,
Or lay down in any position you'd like.
This meditation will include some instruction,
Sounds from the monochord,
And periods of silence.
As you breathe in,
See how long you can comfortably extend your exhale.
See where the sound takes you,
And allow any thoughts and emotions to flow.
Notice any tension you might be holding,
And allow the body to soften.
Relaxing the shoulders,
And softening the face.
Notice if you're lost in thought,
Thinking with purpose,
Or focused on the senses.
Notice if there are any emotions that arise in you.
Notice where your focus lies in this moment.
With each breath,
Begin to shift your awareness into your heart space.
Each breath,
Moving closer and closer into your heart space.
When you've arrived in your heart space,
Pause to feel appreciation for a loved one in your life.
This could be a person,
Or even a pet.
Consider why you appreciate them so much.
I hope you carry this feeling of appreciation throughout the rest of your day.
As we approach the end of this meditation,
This will be the final sound,
Followed by a period of silence.
Once the sound settles,
You can open your eyes at your own pace.
