And let's begin.
Finding a comfortable seat.
You can lay down if you wish and if it feels okay closing down the eyes.
Take a moment here to just soften the shoulders away from the ears.
Relax the belly.
And coming aware of your breath as it naturally flows in and out through your nostrils.
Just feeling that natural flow for another three breaths.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Noticing the coolness of breath as you inhale.
A slightly warmer breath on your exhale.
We're going to begin by setting an intention and this can be really simple.
Anything that resonates with you.
It might be bringing kindness and compassion into your day.
Love,
Joy,
Patience,
Energy,
Resilience,
Strength.
Anything at all that you need.
Just allow it to come to mind.
And as we sit here with our breath we're going to imagine that we could almost fill up a cup with this intention.
This thing that we'd like a little bit more of.
And you might like to repeat the word as you inhale and exhale.
And just imagine that cup filling up with each breath.
Just a few more breaths like this.
Again noticing that coolness of breath on the inhale and the warmth on the exhale.
And then once our cup is full with that intention let's return just to the breath and our body.
Now with our inhale feel the floor or the seat beneath you.
And as you inhale imagine that you can lengthen up through the spine.
Your breath comes all the way through the spine right up to the top of the head.
You're growing a little bit taller.
And as you exhale the shoulders are softening.
The belly softens.
We'll do this a few more times.
With our inhale we lengthen through the spine growing taller.
Crown of the head lifting up towards the sky.
And on the exhale softening.
Softening the jaw,
Shoulders,
The belly.
Do that one more time.
Inhale to lengthen.
Exhale to soften.
And when you're ready just starting to wriggle the fingers and the toes.
Keeping that intention in your heart as we go into the day.
You might like to just place the left hand over the heart space to feel in with your heartbeat.
Take a moment of gratitude for that beating heart and all that it does for you.
When you're ready you can open the eyes and have a beautiful day.
