Raga Malkauns – Kirtan & Shiva Bhajan | Raga Flow

Join Shivam Rath and a live band for an immersive journey into Raga Malkauns, one of the most ancient Ragas. Featuring Eltara, Mico, Kathryn, and Mia on backing vocals, and Mark on guitar. Filmed live in Australia, this session invites you to experience the deep devotional atmosphere of the participatory practice of Kirtan, and a beloved Shiva Bhajan traditionally associated with the Raga. Malkauns is a powerful pentatonic Raga with a profound, meditative character and deep connections to the older traditions of Indian Classical Music, such as Dhrupad. Its rich and introspective mood creates a natural space for contemplation, devotion and connection with the energy of Shiva. With the full band, voice and Crystal Slide (Chaturangi) Guitar, ancient Raga meets the living energy of Kirtan. Whether you sing along, listen deeply, or simply allow the sound to wash over you, this session offers an invitation to experience the timeless devotional spirit of Raga Malkauns and Shiva Bhakti.
