The funny Indian Classical Music Joke is this - Raga Bhupali has neither Ma - or Ni (the Swara or major notes of the scale - Sa-Re-Ga-Ma-Pa-Dha-Ni-Sa) Purely because of this comical irony, many Indian classical musicians say that during non-paid gigs, it's a good time to play this Raga Bhupali because there is no "Ma - Ni ~ Mo-ney" in which to get paid. Hence, Down the Track - Shivam Rath during the 2018 Navaratri Sadhana retreat in Rocklyn Yoga Ashram Vic was choosing specific Ragas in relation to the Devi - Goddess invoked during those 9 days of different goddess worship. Simply because of the irony and there not being any specific Raga indicated to Laxmi as opposed to Durga & Saraswati; Shivam decided to play with that joke and composed this Bhajan in praise of Laxmi who is a symbol of abundance in both the material and non-material nature. But if chanting to Laxmi you may want to ask sincerely what is true abundance?
