This is a simple self-care strategy with a prayer of gratitude intertwined. The bathtub is a place where we can seek refuge at the beginning of the day or at the end of a long day. This self-care exercise works best while in a bubble bath.

The Healing Bath.

Something that many of us take for granted is the power of a healing bath.

The bathtub is not just a place to soak,

Wash up,

And get out,

But it's a place where we can stop,

Pause,

Reflect,

And meditate.

When I am in the bath,

I speak gratitude and engage in deep breathing.

Fifteen to seventeen minutes is all that it takes to get grounded.

Close your eyes or enter into a soft gaze and pray this prayer of thanks with me.

Thank you,

Creator,

For providing me with a new day.

Thank you,

Ancestors,

For your journey.

Thank you,

Creator,

For the breath in my body.

Thank you,

Creator,

For the warm water in the bath that is touching my skin.

Thank you,

Creator,

For the ability to see and smell the bubbles.

Please,

Creator,

Give me wisdom and guidance.

On this day and in the days ahead,
