You can treat this as a meditative yoga nidra exercise. Today we extend gratitude to the body for all that it is. As I've aged I've noticed that my body doesn't function as well as it once did, however, I am thankful for the capability that it does express.

Extending Gratitude to the Body Thank you to my feet for getting me from point A to point B,

Day in and day out.

My feet keep me grounded,

My toes keep me planted.

Thank you arms,

Legs,

And every muscle for movement.

Thank you knees for bending.

Thank you hands for clapping and touching.

Thank you fingers for grasping and pointing.

For every bone,

Every cell,

Every vessel.

For every organ in my body.

For my nose for allowing me to smell.

For my ears allowing me to hear the sound of birds,

Traffic,

Music,

Children playing,

And even silence.

For my mouth and vocal cords for speaking.

For my breath which lets me know that I'm still alive.

For my eyes for allowing me to see and for tears when I need a release.

For my brain for being the safe space for storing wisdom,

Knowledge,

And memories.

For my pores allowing the release of toxins.

For my skin adding a beautiful layer and distinctive character to me which makes me unique and different.

For the warm blood that flows throughout my body,

I extend gratitude.

Thank you body for all that you do,

Both seen and unseen,

That I take for granted every day.
