In this clear hearing meditation,
We'll soften into the practice of inner listening and explore the subtle ways guidance can arrive through sound.
Through a guided journey into the forest,
The cave,
And into the chamber of clear hearing,
You'll be invited to release outside noise,
Soften borrowed voices,
And become more attuned to the clear inner signal beneath the noise.
Simply let the practice meet you where you are and trust that clear hearing can be subtle,
Spacious,
And deeply supportive.
Begin by allowing your body to settle.
Feel the support beneath you and let your breath move naturally.
Imagine yourself standing in a wide meadow at the edge of a forest.
The meadow is open and spacious,
The air is clear,
And the ground beneath you feels steady.
Ahead of you,
The forest waits,
Pleasant and welcoming.
Take a moment to notice the sounds around you.
You may notice the wind,
The grass,
The trees or birds.
And the spaces between sound.
You do not need to listen hard.
Just allow all sounds to exist around you.
When you are ready,
Begin walking toward the forest.
With each step,
Let the meadow remain behind you as a place of openness and return.
As you enter the trees,
Notice how the sound changes.
The forest has its own rhythm,
The movement of the leaves,
The sound of your steps on the path.
And the presence of the land around you.
Continue walking through the forest until stone begins to appear ahead.
The entrance of the cave comes into view.
When you arrive at the cave,
Parts of the threshold.
Behind you is the Living Forest.
And before you is the stillness of the cage.
Take a breath.
And when you are ready,
Step inside.
The air becomes cooler as the sounds around you soften.
Your footsteps grow quieter and your breath becomes easier to notice.
Soon,
You arrive at the place where the Chamber of Clear Knowing rests.
You do not need to enter it today.
Simply acknowledge it.
Now,
As you stand near the Chamber of Clear Knowing,
Notice another opening beside it.
This may be a passage you have not seen before or one that has been waiting quietly.
This is the entrance to the Chamber of Clear Hearing,
Which is the Chamber of Clear Audience.
Step toward it,
And when you are ready,
Enter.
The passage curves into a new chamber,
Shaped by resonance,
With smooth stone,
Soft echoes,
And still air.
It holds a silence that feels alive.
You'll find a place at the center of the chamber.
And rest.
You may let your shoulders soften.
Let your jaw release.
And allow the space around your ears to relax.
Audience is not an outer voice.
Sometimes it is simply a word that appears in the mind,
A song or a tone that arrives at the right moment.
Or a sudden inner yes.
Today you are allowing your inner listening to open.
Bring your awareness to the sounds that are already here.
Your breath.
Your body.
The space around you.
And the stillness of the cave.
Allow it to all be a part of this practice.
Now imagine the chamber beginning to respond to your breath.
As you inhale,
The space opens,
And as you exhale,
The stone receives the sound of you.
You are not speaking into emptiness.
You are in conversation with the space.
Take a slow breath in and release it.
Notice what echoes.
Take another breath in.
And release.
Notice what remains.
Now offer this question silently to the chamber.
What am I ready to hear more clearly?
Listen with your whole body,
Not only with your ears.
Listen beneath the busy thoughts,
Pressure to get it right,
And beneath the hidden fear of making it up.
Let anything sharp,
Crowded,
Or urgent soften.
Allow the old opinions,
Outside expectations,
And borrowed voices to lose their volume.
This chamber helps you recognize the difference between noise and resonance.
Between fear repeating itself and guidance arriving clearly.
Allow anything that is not yours to fade into the stone.
You do not need to analyze it.
You do not need to name it or know where it came from.
Allow the chamber to filter the excess noise and allow your own inner signal to become easier to notice.
Somewhere within you,
There's a tone that belongs to you.
It is a steady frequency beneath everything else.
Let yourself sense it now.
A clear hearing may open now or it may open later in a song.
A sentence,
A quiet moment before sleep,
Or in a phrase that returns again and again.
Do not force the doorway open.
You have visited the chamber.
And you have made contact.
That is enough.
You Now imagine one soft tone moving through the chamber.
He clears the ears,
The throat,
The space around the mind.
And your field.
It does not make you louder.
It makes you clearer.
Let that tone move through you now,
Gathering static,
Softening noise,
And returning anything that is not yours to its rightful place.
Bringing your own energy back into harmony.
Take a slow breath in and release.
Feel the steadiness of your inner listening.
Feel the difference between reaching and receiving.
Between noise and resonance.
And between forcing and allowing.
When you are ready,
Thank the Chamber of Clear Hearing.
Then begin to move back through the passage.
Noticing again the chamber of clear knowing nearby.
Clear hearing and clear knowing do not compete.
Instead,
They support each other.
A clear hearing may offer the word.
And clear knowing may recognize its truth.
Allow both chambers to remain active within you.
Continue walking back through the cave as the sounds of the forest gradually return.
The air shifts,
The light changes,
And soon you reach the cave entrance.
Deposit the threshold.
Behind you is the cave.
Within you are the chambers,
And ahead of you is the forest path.
Step back into the forest.
Notice the sound of leaves,
Sound of your breath.
And the sound of your body moving through the world.
Allow ordinary sound to become sacred again.
Allow daily life to become a place where guidance can arrive.
Continue along the path until the trees begin to open and the meadow appears ahead.
Step out into the wide open space.
Feel the sky above you.
The earth beneath you and the air all around you.
Return to your body.
Feel your hands,
Your feet,
And your breath.
Let your ears receive the sounds of the space around you.
Carry with you only what is useful and let the rest fade like an echo returning to silence.
When you're ready.
Gently open your eyes.
