Hello and welcome.
My name is Brittany Marie and I am so glad you have joined me today.
This series is called A Sanctuary Within.
It's a space for reflection,
Integration,
And coming home to oneself.
And as we come to a close of 2025,
This guided meditation is an invitation to pause.
To look back with honesty.
To honor what this year has asked of you.
And to gently release what is complete.
So take a moment.
And begin by settling in.
Finding a position that feels right for you.
Feel supportive,
Feel safe.
It could be lying in one's bed.
Could be laying on a yoga mat on your floor.
Could be seated.
I could be sitting next to a tree.
Sitting by the water.
Find a space that feels safe for you.
And honor your body in this moment.
And take a breath.
Feeling the body rise with the inhale,
Filling it to the top and pausing for a moment.
Now fill in just a little bit more.
And exhale open mouth release and let go Allow your hands to rest softly.
Allow your shoulders to drop and let your jaw soften.
Take another slow breath in through the nose,
Feeling the sensation on the nostrils.
And when you're ready,
Take a long,
Steady exhale through your mouth.
Again.
Inhale.
Inviting presence.
Acknowledgement.
Awareness.
Exhale,
Softening into this moment.
Really seen into the earth that is holding you.
There's nowhere else you need to be.
There's nothing else you need to do.
This moment,
And this time.
Is for you.
Bring awareness gently into your body.
Notice the places that feel open.
That feels supported.
Now bring the awareness to the places that feel tender,
Tired.
Thank you.
And without judgment.
Simply notice.
You don't need to fix.
You don't need to change.
You are here.
You are allowed.
To arise.
And to be.
Exactly as you are.
Allow your breath to become natural.
Steady.
Unforce.
Just like the waves and the tide on the ocean.
Gently moving and and gently moving out.
With each exhale.
Imagine you're settling.
Deeper.
Into yourself.
Into your support,
Into the Earth.
Like roots finding soil.
And the body remembering.
But it is supported.
I'm looking back on this year.
Gently invite your awareness to the last 365 days.
Not here to analyze,
Not here to relive,
But to simply witness.
Picture the year of 2025 as a long path behind you.
Some stretches are clear,
Some are foggy,
Some may be heavy,
Some unexpected.
Some light,
Some playful,
Some joyful.
You do not need to remember every moment.
Just allow the impressions to arise as they come.
And allow them to go.
Like watching a trailer of your life for the last year.
The moments of challenge.
The moments of courage.
The moments where you surprised yourself.
The moments where you allowed yourself to rest.
The moments when you allowed yourself to feel joy.
The moments when you allowed yourself to love and to be loved.
To receive the moments where you gave.
The moments that you endured.
Each moment webbing themselves together,
Creating a beautiful picture.
The year.
Of 2025,
The year of you.
The year in which you lived.
Now honor that year.
Honor the growth.
And reflect on the growth that has happened.
Not just the obvious milestones,
But the subtle shifts that you allowed.
The conversations you handle differently.
The boundaries you learn to name.
The pauses you allowed yourself to take.
The strength it took.
To keep going.
Earth doesn't always announce itself.
Sometimes it whispers.
Sometimes it happens quietly beneath the surface.
And sometimes it comes with applaud and praise.
And sometimes.
It comes quietly,
Alone.
Trickled with tears.
Tears that allow rain for growth.
To shed,
To cleanse,
To nurture.
Acknowledge yourself.
For the ways that you showed up.
Even when no one else saw it.
Especially when no one else saw it.
Give yourself that moment.
And if you can,
And you're still here with me,
Place one hand over your heart.
And the hand on top of it.
And breathe in a moment of gratitude.
For those moments.
That you showed up.
When no one else was there to witness it.
And knowing that you are here with us now.
And you are worth it.
Acknowledging your growth of 2025.
Acknowledging.
The strength.
The patience.
The courage,
The love.
The Endurance.
And I pray in the next year you are kissed with softness.
Allow yourself the opportunity to rest and to breathe.
And now is that moment.
To reflect.
And to give space and kindness.
2025 was the year of the snake.
It carried its energy in the symbol of shedding,
Transformation,
Intuition.
Rebirth.
The snake does not force change.
It releases what no longer fits.
This year may have asked you to let go of skins you once needed,
To let go of the masks that held on to old identities,
Old roles,
Old survival patterns,
And old beliefs you once had.
And some you had in order to survive.
Some of that shedding may have felt uncomfortable,
Even painful.
Because growth sometimes feels like loss before it feels like freedom.
If this year brought endings,
Confusions.
Or deep internal change.
Know that it is not random.
It was preparation.
The snake teaches us.
You are not broken for needing change.
You are wise for listening.
And change does not happen overnight.
It comes quietly,
Softly.
And time.
With patience.
Due diligence.
And reflection.
Now in this moment.
Bring a gentle gratitude.
And to reflection.
Not the kind that dismisses pain.
But the kind that integrates truth.
You may offer gratitude for the lessons learned the hard way.
Strength and resilience you didn't know you had.
Support that appeared unexpectedly.
Or clarity that came after confusion.
You are allowed to feel grief.
You are allowed to feel gratitude.
You are allowed to feel pride and exhaustion.
You are allowed to feel relief and sadness.
You are allowed to feel.
And remember that these feelings will come and they will go Let the gratitude be honest.
Let it be authentic.
Let it be real.
Raw and vulnerable.
Let it be soft.
Let it be nurturing.
And let it be for the highest good.
Now imagine standing at the threshold between years.
2025 is behind you.
And the next chapter is not yet open.
And visualize what you no longer need.
Lay down your armor.
Lay down your masks.
Lay down your cape.
Lay down your worry.
And now.
That these things.
.
.
Are no longer needed.
You are allowed to release and let go along with the year of the snake.
Old expectations,
Lingering self-blame,
Stories that kept you small.
Emotional weight that belongs to the past.
You do not have to carry it forward to prove anything to anyone.
You are allowed to put it down now.
With each exhale.
Feel yourself releasing.
Not erasing the year.
But completing it.
Allow yourself to breathe naturally.
And as you release with an open mouth,
Let go of something.
Blow it into the wind.
Release it out of the body.
Let the breath,
Let the exhale.
Release into the air,
Into the ether,
Into the universe It is gone.
It is relieved from you.
A few more breaths here.
A few more lifted weights removed from your body,
Removed from your soul.
Let it go.
Allow the universe to take care of you.
It is no longer within you.
You are creating space,
Openness to receive.
Last exhale to let go of whatever does not serve you in this moment,
In this year,
Or in this life.
Honor and let go.
Now let's take a moment to acknowledge yourself and before saying goodbye to this year.
You have survived things you once wondered if you could.
You grew in ways that would only make sense later.
You are here.
You are here and you are alive.
Place one hand on your heart if it's not already there.
And if it feels good and right for you.
Place the other hand on top.
And offer yourself these words silently or aloud.
I honor the path I walked.
I honor the lessons I learned.
I honor the strength it took.
To become who I am now.
In this moment.
Now let that land.
Honor yourself.
Breathe into yourself.
Give yourself.
A hug.
A warmth of gratitude.
Feeling the beats,
That rhythm.
The heart.
Now imagine turning towards 2025 one last time.
Not with regret.
Not with resentment,
But with respect.
You may say in your own way.
Thank you.
2025.
Thank you,
The year of the snake.
Thank you.
For what you have taught me.
Thank you.
For what you have revealed to me.
Thank you.
For what you helped me release.
And thank you for allowing me to see.
And allowing me to shed what no longer serves me,
To make space and room for what honors me.
And what deserves my time.
And energy.
Watch.
The years soften.
Watch the earth fade.
And watch the year drift by.
As it completes itself.
There is no rush forward,
Only space.
The in-between.
The present moment.
Here,
Now.
And now.
.
.
Bringing awareness back into your breath.
Into the body.
Back into the space that you are in.
Feeling the steadiness beneath you.
The quiet knowing within.
And when you're ready,
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
Maybe take one final deep breath in.
Filling the body.
From tip to toe.
And slowly exhale.
And as you do.
Honor the year.
Honor what you have released.
Honor what is complete.
And honor you.
And know that you are ready.
For what comes next.
Because you are here.
And you?
Is all you need.
See you in 2026.
Happy New Year.
