Hello and welcome.
My name is Brittany Marie,
And I am so glad you are here with me today.
This guided meditation will be for the full moon in Cancer.
So as we begin,
I invite you to gently prepare your space.
If you're working with incense,
You may light it now.
If you've brought stones,
Shells,
Crystals,
Or any earthly offerings,
You can place them near you.
Or hold one in your hand.
Or maybe you've chosen an icon,
Something that represents protection,
Intuition,
Or home.
So if there's something that you're wanting to work with,
Pause this meditation now,
Get them ready,
Light the incense,
The candles,
And when you're ready,
Hit play and we'll begin again.
Now we begin the guided meditation for the full moon and cancer.
Simply allow yourself to arrive.
There's nothing more you need to do.
Just sit or lay,
Listen and allow yourself to be guided.
Allow your body to settle.
Allow the breath to soften.
Let this moment meet you exactly as you are.
If you're near the ocean.
Or maybe imagining it.
Feel the steady rhythm of the waves.
The tides that move without force.
And so do you.
So does your breath.
So does your prana.
Begin by noticing your breath.
Is the breath shallow.
Is it deep?
Is it short?
Long.
Just observing.
And when you're ready,
Allow your inhale to deepen slightly.
And your exhale to lengthen.
With every breath out,
Imagine your body becoming heavier.
More grounded.
More supported.
Allow your shoulders to soften your jaw to release,
Your belly to relax.
You are being held by the Earth beneath you.
By the sky above you.
By the steady presence of this moment.
Another deep breath in.
And a deep breath out.
Allowing the body to fully surrender into the comfort of itself.
Into its home.
This is the first full moon of the year.
And it rises in the sign of cancer.
A moon of water,
Memory,
Intuition,
And emotional truth?
Cancer.
Invites us home.
Home to the body.
Home to the heart.
Home to the places within us that seek safety,
Tenderness,
And belonging.
Under this moon,
We are not asked to harden.
We are not asked to push forward.
Instead,
We are invited.
To soften.
We are invited.
To listen.
To honor what has been quietly asking for our care.
Let this moon illuminate,
Not what is broken.
But what is ready to be held with compassion.
Now imagine the full moon rising before you.
Bright.
Whole.
Unapologetically luminous.
See its light reflecting on the water.
Whether it's an ocean.
A lake or a river.
The surface shimmers,
Responding effortlessly.
It's light tickling the water.
Notice what arises.
Sensation images,
Feelings,
Memories.
There's no need to analyze.
Here,
We are to simply witness.
Just as the moon moves the tides.
It gently stirs the emotional waters within you.
So here.
Come into the body.
Notice.
Feel.
You are safe to feel.
You are safe to be present with yourself.
And now is a time for reflection and inner inquiry.
If journaling feels right for you,
You may pause and return to these reflections later.
For now,
Simply let them land.
Allow the answers to come intuitively.
Not intellectually.
What part of me is asking for gentleness this year?
Where am I ready to feel more at home within myself?
What's emotional truth is ready to be acknowledged and honored.
What am I prepared to release,
Not with force,
But with grace?
Breathe in to acknowledge the answers within yourself.
And when you're ready,
Exhale.
And with the breath releasing from the body.
Imagine and sending it off to the universe like a prayer.
Two more.
In your own rhythm.
Your own breath.
Your internal ritual.
Now if you're holding a stone.
Imagine it.
Absorbing anything you're ready to let go of.
Old emotional weight.
Outdated stories,
Lingering tension.
If incense is burning.
Or a candle is lit.
Visualize the smoke carrying these and releasing them upward.
Transforming them into clarity and light.
Under this full moon,
Release does not mean loss.
It means making space.
Space for nourishment.
Space for trust.
Space for what wants to grow.
And as we begin to close.
Return to your breath.
Notice how your body feels now compared to when you arrived.
Carrying this moonlight with you into your days,
Your relationships,
Your inner conversations with yourself.
This is a year of deeper listening.
Of emotional wisdom.
Of honoring your inner rhythms.
Happy New Year!
Happy first full moon!
May you move forward with feeling grounded,
Intuitive.
And quietly supported.
Like the tides,
Both ancient and wise.
When you're ready.
Gently open your eyes.
Welcome home.
