Welcome to Be With Melinda.
Today we enter the Jewish mystical journey of Or.
You are warmly welcome to receive its wisdom.
Whether or not you know Hebrew or come from a Jewish background.
Simply bring your breath,
Your body,
And an open heart.
Or is the Hebrew word for light?
In Jewish mysticism,
Light is more than illumination.
It is the quiet presence of the Divine revealing itself within creation.
And within every soul.
This meditation draws upon Netzach.
The seventh of the ten sefirot in Kabbalah.
Neitzach is endurance,
Hope,
And the quiet strength to keep moving toward the light,
Even through life's changing seasons.
Take a slow breath in and a slower breath out.
Again,
Breathing in.
And gently breathing out.
Allow your body to soften.
Let your breath become slow and easy.
Imagine yourself beneath the ancient olive tree.
Its fruit has been gathered with care.
Pressed gently,
It becomes oil.
The oil becomes a flame.
The flame becomes light.
So it is with your own life.
Through every joy and every challenge.
Something within you continues to shine.
Bring your awareness to your heart.
Imagine a small flame resting there.
Study.
Gentle.
Quiet.
It asks for nothing except your willingness to notice its presence.
Silently repeat.
Or Divine Light.
Again.
Or Define light.
With each inhale,
Allow that light to grow brighter within you.
With each exhale,
Imagine its warmth extending beyond you.
Blessing your home.
Your loved ones.
Your community.
And the world around you.
Notice that light is never diminished by being shared.
The more freely it shines,
The more darkness is gently transformed.
Rest here for a few quiet breaths.
Allowing yourself to receive.
And to reflect.
This sacred light.
Take one final slow breath.
May the light within you remain steady through every season.
May hope guide your path.
May compassion illuminate your relationships.
And may your life become a quiet light.
That encourages others to remember.
Their own.
Shalom.
And thank you for meditating with me today.
