This meditation is for those who feel stuck in grief, held back by the quiet belief that moving forward might mean abandoning what was deeply loved. It offers a compassionate reframe without rushing healing, helping you recognize that continuing to live doesn't erase what mattered. Through simple breath, body awareness, and honest reflection, this practice invites life to continue alongside remembrance, not in opposition to it. A space to honor what was real while allowing yourself to remain open to what still lives and unfolds. Formerly titled: Letting Life Continue Without Betrayal

Welcome to Be With Melinda.

I'm glad you're here.

Settle your body in a way that feels honest and supported.

Allow one slow breath in through the nose and a gentle release through the mouth.

Again,

One slow breath in through the nose and a gentle release through the mouth.

After loss,

Life sometimes begins to move again and the heart hesitates.

Not from fear alone,

But from loyalty.

A quiet belief forms.

If I let life continue,

I betray what I loved.

If this belief lives in you,

Meet it gently.

It has been protecting something sacred.

Bring to mind what was lost.

Not the story,

Just the truth of its meaning.

Notice where that meaning rests in your body.

Silently acknowledge this mattered.

Life continuing does not undo what was.

Movement does not erase memory.

Joy does not cancel love.

Bring awareness to the center of your chest.

Imagine life not rushing forward,

But standing beside you.

Waiting.

Not demanding.

Not persuading.

Simply present.

Silently say,

I can let life continue without betraying what I loved.

Notice how this lands.

No need to force agreement.

Just allow the possibility.

Loss changes the shape of life,

But it does not end it.

What mattered remains woven into who you are.

Life that continues carries that truth forward.

As we close,

Rest in the snowing.

You are not leaving love behind.

You are bringing it with you.

Thank you for practicing with me today.

May you be blessed with the grace to let life continue.

To be faithful to what has been and open to what remains.

Take one final breath in and release it slowly.

Return when you are ready.
