Welcome to this Kabbalah meditation for the month of Leo,
Known in the Hebrew calendar as Av.
Av is the month of paradox.
It teaches us that sorrow and love can live side by side.
In Kabbalah,
The heart is not weakened by what it has endured.
It is deepened by it.
The invitation of AAV is to open the heart.
Reconnect with your inner light and remember that love remains present even after loss.
Find a comfortable position and gently close your eyes.
Take a slow breath in and a slower breath out.
Again,
Take a slow breath in and a slower breath out.
Imagine you are sitting beneath a great tree.
Its roots reach deep into the earth.
Its branches stretch toward the sky.
The tree stands quietly between heaven and earth,
Drawing strength from both.
Take a moment to feel your own roots.
Feel the support beneath you.
Feel yourself settling into this moment.
Now bring awareness to your heart.
Place a hand gently over your chest if that feels comfortable.
Notice the rhythm of your breath.
Notice the quiet presence within you.
Imagine a warm golden light glowing in the center of your heart.
Soft.
Steady.
Radiant.
With each breath,
The light grows a little brighter.
The light has always been there.
It remains through joy,
It remains through sorrow.
It remains through every season of your life.
The month of Av reminds us that the heart is capable of holding many things at once.
Love and grief.
Hope and uncertainty.
Strength and tenderness.
You do not need to choose one over the other.
You simply allow them to exist together.
As you rest beneath the Tree of Life,
Bring to mind someone or something you love deeply.
Notice what arises.
A memory,
A feeling.
A sense of gratitude.
Allow your heart to receive it.
Now imagine that golden light expanding through your entire chest.
With each breath it becomes warmer,
More spacious and more alive.
Ask yourself,
Where is my heart asking to be open?
What am I ready to receive?
How can I bring more love into my life?
There is no need to force an answer.
Simply listen.
Like a tree opening its branches towards the sun.
Your heart naturally knows how to open when it feels safe.
Take a slow breath in and silently repeat.
My heart is open to love.
As you breathe out.
My heart is strong enough to heal.
Again.
My heart is open to love.
My heart is strong enough to heal.
Feel the warmth of the light within you.
Feel the strength of the roots beneath you.
Feel yourself held between heaven and earth.
Rest here for a few moments in silence.
Take one final deep breath.
Offer gratitude for the love you have known and for the love that continues to grow within you.
When you are ready,
Gently return your awareness to the room and slowly open your eyes.
May this month of Av strengthen your heart.
Deepen your capacity to love.
And remind you that even after seasons of loss,
The light within you.
Continues to shine.
Shalom
