Welcome to be with Melinda.
Today we enter the Jewish mystical journey of Emunah.
You are warmly welcome to receive its wisdom,
Whether or not you know Hebrew.
Or come from a Jewish background.
Simply bring your breath,
Your body,
And an open heart.
Amunah is the Hebrew word for living trust.
It is not certainty.
It is the quiet strength to remain open,
Even when the path ahead cannot yet be seen.
This meditation draws upon Givurah,
The fifth of the ten sefirot in Kabbalah.
Give Away is strength,
Courage,
And wise boundaries.
It teaches us that true trust is not the absence of fear.
But the willingness to remain steady in its presence.
Take a slow breath in and a slower breath out.
Again,
Breathing in.
And gently breathing out.
Feel the support beneath you.
Allow your shoulders to soften.
Let your breath settle into its own gentle rhythm.
Imagine yourself beneath an ancient olive tree.
Storms have come and gone.
Winds have bent its branches.
Seasons have changed.
Yet its roots remain steady,
Reaching even deeper into the earth.
Bring your awareness to your heart.
I notice its quiet strength.
You have lived through uncertainty before.
You have been carried through moments you once believed you could not survive.
Let that knowing rest gently within you.
Silently repeat.
Emunah.
Sacred Trust.
Again.
Yamuna Sacred Trust.
With each inhale,
Receive courage.
With each exhale,
Release the need to control every outcome.
Allow yourself to trust the next breath.
The next step.
The next moments.
Like an ancient olive tree.
May your roots grow deeper than your fears.
Strength does not always appear as force.
Sometimes strength is the quiet willingness to remain open when life feels uncertain.
Rest here for a few quiet breaths.
Take one final slow breath.
May your heart be strengthened by trust.
May wisdom guide your choices.
May courage steady your path.
And may you discover that even in uncertainty,
You are gently held by the One who breathes life into all things.
Shalom.
And thank you for meditating with me.
Today.
