Find a comfortable place to settle in.
Allow yourself to become still.
There is nowhere else you need to be right now.
Nothing you need to accomplish.
Nothing you need to solve.
For the next few moments.
Simply allow yourself to be here.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in.
And when you're ready,
Gently breathe it out.
Again,
Breathing in slowly and fully.
And when you're ready,
Releasing it all out,
Letting go of what no longer serves you.
This time on your inhale.
Breathe in peace.
Hold that peace for a moment.
Then exhale everything you no longer wish to carry.
Allow your shoulders to soften.
Let your jaw relax.
Let the muscles around your eyes release.
Feel the weight of your body being supported beneath you.
You do not have to hold everything together right now.
You are allowed to soften.
You are allowed to rest.
You are allowed to simply be.
Bring your awareness to the space around you.
Notice the air,
The sounds.
The stillness between the sounds.
And begin to imagine that you are surrounded by a gentle,
Loving presence.
You may experience this as God.
Spirit.
The divine.
A higher power.
Universal love.
Or simply a peaceful presence greater than yourself.
There is no right or wrong way to experience this.
Simply allow yourself to become open.
Imagine this presence surrounding you with warmth.
There is nothing being asked of you.
Nothing you need to prove.
Nothing you need to become.
You are simply being held in this moment.
Now bring your attention gently to your heart.
Imagine a soft light beginning to glow in the center of your chest.
Perhaps it's white.
Or golden.
Or a soft blue.
Or green.
Representing the heart chakra.
Or maybe you simply feel a sense of warmth.
Let whatever comes naturally be enough.
With every breath,
Allow this light to grow.
As you breathe in,
It expands.
As you breathe out,
Your body softens around it.
And somewhere within yourself.
Hear these words.
Peace be with you.
Peace within you.
Peace around you.
Peace moving through you.
There may be parts of your life that do not feel peaceful right now.
There may be unanswered questions,
Decisions,
Changes,
Losses,
Uncertainty,
Things you cannot control.
You cannot change.
Outcomes you cannot yet see.
You do not need to resolve any of them right now.
Imagine gathering everything you have been carrying.
Every worry.
Every expectation.
Every conversation you have replayed.
Every question you cannot answer.
Every burden that has become heavier than you realized.
And one by one begin placing them down.
Perhaps you place them into the hands of God or into the care of Spirit.
Or into the light.
Or into the earth beneath you.
Whatever feels right for you.
You do not have to know how everything will unfold.
For this moment,
You can release the need to know.
Silently repeat these messages.
I release what is not mine to control.
I release what I have carried for too long.
I release the need to have every answer.
I make room for peace.
Now imagine Peace beginning at the crown of your head.
A gentle wave of warm,
Calming light.
Feel it moving slowly downward.
Across your forehead.
Softening your thoughts.
Then it moves behind your eyes.
Quietening the mind.
Now it moves down through your cheeks.
Your jaw,
Your throat.
Allow everything to loosen.
Feel this peaceful light moving into your shoulders.
Let your shoulders drop.
Imagine the weight you have carried beginning to lift.
You were never meant to carry everything forever.
Now imagine this light moving down your arms and into your hands.
Then it expands through your chest and deeply into your heart.
Let peace enter.
Allow it to touch the places inside you that have felt unsettled.
The places where you have questioned yourself.
The places where you have been afraid.
The places where you have been judging yourself.
The places still holding pieces of the past.
The places worrying about tomorrow.
Do not force them to change.
Simply allow peace to meet them.
Peace does not ask you to erase your story.
It does not ask you to pretend something did not hurt.
It does not ask you to have everything figured out.
Peace simply whispers.
You can stop fighting this moment.
You can rest here.
Remind yourself.
I may not be able to control everything around me.
But I can return to the peace within me.
Again.
And again.
And again.
Your peace does not depend upon life becoming perfect.
Peace can exist alongside uncertainty.
Peace can exist alongside grief.
Peace can exist during change.
Peace can live within the spaces between knowing where you have been and discovering where you are going.
Now imagine yourself standing beside a beautiful body of still water.
The water is calm.
So still that it reflects the sky above.
There is nothing disturbing its surface.
Walk slowly towards the water.
Feel the ground beneath your feet.
Notice the quiet around you.
Look into the water.
See your reflection.
But instead of seeing yourself through the expectations of the world.
Look deeper.
Beyond what you do.
Beyond what others need from you.
Beyond your accomplishments.
Beyond your mistakes.
Beyond all the roles you have played.
See the person underneath it all.
The soul,
The life,
The being who has walked through every chapter of your story.
Look at yourself with compassion and imagine placing a hand over your heart.
Silently say.
My peace I give you.
You are safe to soften.
You are allowed to rest.
You are allowed to release.
You are allowed to trust.
My peace I give you.
Let those words sink in deeper.
My peace I give you.
Perhaps they feel as though they are coming from within you.
You do not need to decide where they come from.
Simply receive them.
My peace I give you.
Allow the light within your heart to become brighter.
Imagine it expanding beyond your chest.
Surrounding your entire body.
A gentle field of peace.
You are held within it.
Protected within it.
Rested within it.
And now allow your awareness to move towards anything in your life that still feels heavy.
You do not need to analyze it.
Simply notice what comes and quietly say,
I release you.
I do not need to carry you in this moment.
Perhaps there is something you are finally ready to forgive.
Perhaps it's someone else.
Perhaps it's yourself.
Forgiveness does not mean pretending something was okay.
It does not mean forgetting.
It simply means you are no longer willing to allow the weight of the past to occupy the peace in the present.
If forgiveness feels right.
Quietly say to yourself.
I release what I am ready to release.
I keep the wisdom and I release the weight.
Now take a deep,
Slow breath in.
Breathe in all that peace.
And gently exhale,
Slowly releasing what you no longer need.
Feel how much space exists inside you when you stop gripping so tightly.
Place your hands over your heart if that feels comfortable for you and slowly repeat.
Peace within me.
Peace around me.
Peace before me.
Peace behind me.
Peace in what has been.
Peace in what is.
Peace in what is still becoming.
I trust that I am guided.
I trust that I am supported.
I trust that I do not walk this life alone.
And now imagine that somewhere ahead of you,
There is a path.
You cannot see every turn.
You can not see exactly where it leads.
But you do not need to.
You only need enough light for the next step.
Feel yourself releasing the need to see the entire journey.
Trust the next step.
There is peace in not needing to know everything today.
There is peace in allowing life to unfold.
There is peace in trusting that clarity can arrive when it is needed.
Take one final slow,
Deep breath in.
Feel your lungs completely.
And as you exhale.
Release one final layer of tension.
Allow yourself to rest here for just a moment longer.
Nothing to fix,
Nothing to force,
Nothing to prove.
Nothing to chase.
Just this breath.
This moment.
This peace.
And once more,
Hear these words.
My peace I give you.
Carry them with you into your day,
Into your relationships,
Into the moments that challenge you.
Into the places where you once reacted from fear.
Return here whenever you need to.
Peace is not somewhere you have to travel to find.
It is a place within yourself that you can learn to return to again and again.
Begin slowly becoming aware of the space around you.
Notice the sounds.
Notice your breath.
Feel your body supported beneath you.
Gently move your fingers and toes.
And whenever you are ready.
Slowly open your eyes.
Carry the stillness with you.
Carry this trust with you.
Carry this peace with you.
My peace I give you.
And so it is.
