The Ones Who Came Before You

You may have siblings you never knew about. But your body has always known. One in four pregnancies ends in miscarriage. In almost every family, there are babies who were conceived but never born — miscarriages, stillbirths, vanishing twins, early losses never spoken of. In family constellation work, everyone who belongs to a family system has a right to be remembered. When these little ones are not acknowledged, the living children often carry something they cannot name: a sense that someone is missing. This meditation offers a gentle way to acknowledge them — to give them a place, and in doing so, to find your own. They have been waiting. Not in pain. Just to be seen.
