So welcome everyone,

So today I invite you into a practice which is designed for people who share and give their energy to others,

Healers,

Teachers,

Parents,

Therapists,

Caregivers or anybody whose work or life involves supporting others.

Now if you are someone who regularly holds space for others,

For their healing,

For their growth,

For their learning,

You know the deep fulfillment that comes from this sacred work.

But you may also know the unique challenges that come.

Energy depletion,

Blurred boundaries and the tendency to absorb other people's emotions or pain.

Now please remember that these challenges aren't a sign of weakness or a lack of skill.

They are natural aspects of an open hearted service that can affect anybody regardless of your experience and knowledge.

Now what often helps is having practices that allow you to maintain clear energetic boundaries while still remaining connected and compassionate.

So what we'll try and do today is clearly distinguish between your own energy and other people's energy,

Create a healthy energetic container for your work,

Whatever that is,

And possibly facilitate the release of any absorbed energies that are not yours to carry.

Now with people that I work with,

With people that I teach,

With people that I do one-to-one work with,

Friends,

Colleagues,

Now many people can tell physically the difference after this practice in their energy field,

Maybe a lightness in your body,

Maybe just a renewed capacity to connect without becoming depleted and having a very clear understanding of when I'm standing in my own energy and when I may have picked up or taken on someone else's energy.

So let's begin this journey of creating healthy energy boundaries so I can give from my fullness,

I can give from my place of fullness.

So let's begin by finding a comfortable position,

Either sitting up or lying down,

And just make sure you allow your body to be fully supported.

Close your eyes if that feels comfortable to you.

Allowing your body to be fully supported.

I can feel my spine,

I lower back,

My hips on the floor,

On the chair,

I can feel my breath.

Deep breath in through your nose and slowly release it through your mouth.

And we'll do this again,

Deep breath in through your nose and exhale completely.

With each breath,

Feel yourself becoming more present,

More in the moment,

More in your body.

More present,

More in the moment,

More in the body.

Allow your breathing to find its natural rhythm,

No need to control it,

No need to change it.

Simply notice the gentle flow of your breath.

As you do this now,

You start to be more and more and more into the present moment,

Into the body.

Any thoughts that you have,

They are very welcome to stay,

Just don't engage with the conscious mind.

Any physical sensations that you have,

They are very welcome to stay in the body.

I'm not asking anything to change,

To fix.

Everything is exactly the way it should be,

In my body,

In my mind.

And I choose to be the space which is aware of all this.

I may be aware of certain noises around me,

Sound of my voice,

And then there is silence.

Allowing your eyes to close deeper,

Going deeper and deeper and deeper into your body,

Dropping into your body's wisdom.

Now,

Bring your awareness,

Bring your attention to the space around your physical body.

The space around my physical body is my energy field and it contains my personal energy.

So I'm now just going to bring my attention to the space around my physical body.

If you are a visual person,

You can maybe visualize a bubble of light around you,

Any color.

Or you can simply feel that there is a presence around your physical body.

Whichever way you are sensing and feeling it is exactly the right thing for you.

You cannot get this process wrong.

Now,

The outer edge of your energy field is the boundary where energy meets the world around you.

So the inquiry for you today is,

How does this boundary feel today?

Is it clear and defined?

Is it weak?

Are there certain places where I feel a weakness?

Just notice without trying to change anything.

My attention is now on the outer edge of my energy field.

And I've just asked my body how this boundary feels today.

And I'm now being guided to any areas that may feel particularly strong or weak.

So I can get a sense of where my energy is.

Just notice and notice and notice.

Now,

Whatever you may be aware of in this moment.

We just allow all that to be.

As helpers,

As healers,

As lightworkers.

Our energy field naturally will collect residue from the work that we do with others.

Let's now take a moment to clear any energies that are not yours to carry.

I will now imagine a gentle shower of light flowing down from above.

From the universe,

Source,

God,

Divine.

From my higher self.

And this gentle shower of light,

Golden,

White,

Pink is washing now through my entire energy field.

The light is cleansing,

Purifying,

Dissolving any energies,

Emotions or patterns that don't belong to me.

Just see this light washing through your energy field.

Carrying away anything that isn't yours to hold.

Other people's pain,

Other people's problems,

Other people's emotions or energetic patterns.

So we'll just spend the next few seconds letting the light cleanse,

Purify and dissolve me.

Cleanse,

Purify and dissolve my energy field.

Now as this cleansing light flows through you,

You might notice certain areas where your energy field is stuck or resistant.

Simply bring more light into these areas.

So you can allow the cleansing to continue.

Without forcing it.

Now you can imagine this light flowing down into the earth.

So let this light flow down from the top of your head all the way down to your feet,

To mother earth,

To Gaia.

Returning these energies to be recycled and transformed.

Anything that doesn't belong to you can now safely leave you.

Through my feet,

Down to the floor,

Down to earth,

Down to Gaia to be transformed,

To be recycled.

And as I'm doing this part of the journey now,

I can feel the lightness.

I can feel the clarity.

And I can feel the peace into my mind,

My body and my energy field.

Now as I feel lighter,

Brighter and more vibrant.

Let's now work on strengthening the boundary of your energy field.

That still allows connection.

But while keeping me and my energy field in a safe container.

Now the outer edge of your energy field,

Which we were working with.

Now imagine this becoming more defined.

If it helps you,

You can imagine this having a specific quality.

Maybe a color,

A texture,

A light that represents protection and clarity for you.

Around the outer edge of my energy field right now,

I'm seeing this color,

Texture or light.

Because of which my energy field is now becoming a lot more defined,

Clear and conscious.

This boundary is flexible and intelligent and it keeps me safe.

And whichever way guidance is showing up for you,

Just allow that.

As I may see myself surrounded now by this yellow light,

By this golden light.

I may be seeing a certain shape around my energy field.

I may be seeing a cross,

I may be seeing something else.

Anything that's clarity,

Protection for you.

We are now bringing that around your energy body.

Now starting today,

Starting now,

This state is your reminder.

You have a visual representation and you know how it feels to have healthy,

Strong energy boundaries.

Now let's take a moment to set a clear intention for this boundary.

You can silently either say this to yourself or receive my words.

This boundary honors my needs for connection and also my need for separation.

This boundary allows me to serve others without losing myself.

This boundary supports me to give from a place of fullness rather than depletion.

And just feel these words,

These intentions now dropping into your subconscious and strengthening this boundary even more.

So now that we've established these clear,

Healthy,

Conscious boundaries and we also know now how they look.

Let's just do an exercise to practice maintaining these clear boundaries during our helping interactions.

Now imagine yourself in a typical scenario based on your own life,

Your own profession,

Your own journey.

Perhaps you're with a client,

You're with a patient,

You're with a student or you're just with a loved one that you're supporting at the moment.

See yourself first surrounded by this clear,

Strong energy field even before you connect with this person.

Notice that you can be fully present,

Compassionate and connected without stepping into their energy,

Without letting them step into your energy,

Without merging your energy with theirs.

I can now see clearly my own well-defined energy field,

My boundary around me.

And I can also see them with their energy.

They are two very distinct yet interconnected spheres in this moment that I see.

When you offer support,

Visualize the support now flowing from your heart to theirs through a clear channel rather than any merging or stepping into each other's fields.

I am in my own healthy energy,

Boundary energy field.

I can clearly see them with their energy field and whatever I'm offering to them is going from my heart to theirs.

My circle,

My field is clearly defined and distinct from what I see.

Compassion,

Wisdom can flow without me taking on anything from anyone.

The quality here is presence,

Not entanglement.

Compassion but not confusion.

Just take a moment so your body knows this clear distinction from now on.

Now let's explore a very simple technique that you can use anytime you are around other people.

And it's the sacred pause.

Now this is just a moment of conscious reconnection with my own energy field,

Especially during these interactions.

Take a slow conscious breath now.

Feel the boundary of your energy field.

Bring up the color,

The vision,

The texture that we brought up earlier which is specific to you.

And silently affirm this to yourself.

This is me.

That is them.

This is me.

That is them.

Allow any energy that isn't yours now to dissolve completely.

As I'm doing this,

I may feel energetic clarity again.

Now,

As we come to a close for this meditation,

You now have an awareness of your own energy boundary and how it feels when you're just in your own energy.

With this practice,

Maintaining these boundaries and awareness of these boundaries becomes a lot easier.

Which allows you to serve others with an open heart while taking care of yourself.

So as we begin,

Bringing our attention to our breath now.

Bringing gentle movement to your fingers,

To your toes.

Feeling the hard surface beneath you supporting your body.

Now carrying a clear sense of boundaries with you.

You can slowly open your eyes when you're ready.

Now remember,

Maintaining energy boundaries isn't selfish.

But it's essential.

When you maintain your own energetic integrity,

You create a more effective,

Truthful connection with those that you help.

Now in the days ahead,

You can experiment these practices or this practice to help you in your real life interactions.

Just notice how different it feels to serve from a place of clear boundaries and conscious connection.

Over the next few hours,

Days and weeks,

As you practice,

You'll learn to honor your own well-being.
