I love poetry.

I find the rhythm and the rhymes like a meditative journey and the choice of words intriguing.

Poems can be read in many different ways.

The breaks and breaths change the way they sound and the sense they offer.

Emily Elizabeth Dickinson was a prolific poet but lived much of her life in isolation.

She was considered something of an eccentric and little known with only 10 of her over 1800 poems published during her lifetime.

Here she writes about hope,

Describing it as a bird singing courageously in the face of many obstacles.

And hope is what we all need.

If we have hope,

We can withstand almost anything.

Hope is the thing with feathers by Emily Dickinson Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul and sings the tune without the words and never stops at all.

And sweetest in the gale is heard and sore must be the storm that could abash the little bird that kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land and on the strangest sea.

Yet never in extremity it asked a crumb of me.

Beautiful. I love Dickinson. As long as There is hope I know I will find me. 🥰 Ps: The end was a bit sudden. It might be a good idea to taper the music softly. 🙏
