Welcome to the stress relief meditation.
I am Dr.
Linda Friedland and I'm delighted to be here with you today accompanied by the intentional music track of Yuval Ron in consultation with Dr.
Richard Gold of Metta Mindfulness Music.
Close your eyes.
Give yourself permission right now to relax.
This is now time for yourself,
For your well-being,
To release your stress,
To regain your strength and your vitality and to create inner calm.
Begin to become aware of your breathing.
Breathe in deeply through your nose and slowly breathe out through your mouth.
Breathe in once again through your nose.
Hold it for a moment and slowly breathe out through your mouth.
Feel your abdomen expand with each deep inhalation.
Breathe in once again deeply through your nose and slowly breathe out through your mouth.
Feel your abdomen expand with each deep inhalation.
Deep breathing has enormous potential to energize,
To heal,
To regenerate your body,
Tone your nerves,
Your muscles and all your internal organs.
Deep breathing reduces your blood pressure,
Slows your pulse,
Regulates your heartbeat and cleanses your blood.
It stills your mind and calms your emotions.
As you breathe out,
Allow all the tension stored in your body begin to leave you.
With each inhalation,
You are absorbing new calming energy and vitality.
With each breath out,
You are releasing strain.
Breathe out your tensions and your worries for just this moment,
Thereby switching off your stress pathways.
Let yourself unwind,
Just like a clenched fist being gently released.
Now beginning at the top of your head,
Begin to consciously relax the muscles of your body.
Relax your forehead,
Relax your face and relax your jaw.
Relax the muscles of your neck and shoulders.
Feel the relaxation moving through your arms,
Down into your hands and to the tip of your fingers.
Feel a wave of relaxation move through your abdomen into your back muscles,
Down,
Traveling into your legs,
Through your feet,
To your toes.
With each gentle breath you take,
Allow yourself to become more and more relaxed.
Now we are beginning to use the power of imagery.
Images are powerful mental pictures that become translated into your reality,
Into your body.
The images connect pathways from your brain cortex to areas of healing and immunity.
Imagine,
See and feel a bright warm light above your head.
Allow this light to penetrate through the top of your head,
Down your face,
Into your relaxed neck and shoulders.
Feel this warm light moving into your chest,
Flowing down your arms,
All the way to your fingers.
Now let this light wash through your body,
To your legs,
To your feet.
Allow this light to spread down your spinal cord,
To every nerve,
Through every vessel and into every cell in your body,
Replenishing,
Renewing,
Healing and relieving your stress and strain.
You may begin to feel a heaviness,
A warmth entering you,
As you become more relaxed and comfortable.
You are becoming calmer and more tranquil.
Let this light enter your heart,
The source of your life force,
The source of your vitality.
Allow this light to pump through your heart,
Through all your vessels,
Opening any physical or even emotional blockage through your bloodstream,
Clearing,
Replenishing and healing.
Feel the warmth,
See the light,
Hear the movement through the vessels,
The flow through your body.
This light flows through pathways of immunity,
Healing every part of your body.
Your entire body is now bathed in this light,
As it surrounds you in a cocoon,
Relaxing your outer muscles and skin,
And you feel at peace and energized.
Let the energy of this music and the earth's energy and the spiritual divine energy enter and restore your energy and life force.
Consciously open every cell of your body to health and healing.
Now,
Become aware of your breathing once again.
The feel of the chair,
Or the cushion,
The floor,
Or your bed against your body.
Allow the deep breathing to continue through your nose and exhale through your mouth,
As you feel calm and joy and clarity and healing.
As we conclude our meditation,
You will feel calmer within and without.
Your breathing will remain smooth and even.
Your thoughts and your mindset will be positive and supportive of your health and well-being.
