How was your day?
Come now,
Away from rush and hurry,
Come away with me,
With you,
With your heart,
Your body,
Your soul.
Take your shoes off at the door,
Remove your coat or jacket,
Drop your purse or bag,
Whatever you have been carrying,
Leave it all right here and come.
Come into the inner places of yourself.
How are you?
How is your heart?
How is your soul?
The mind quickly jumps in to respond,
But for this moment,
I invite you to not rush to an answer,
But instead to just sit with the question.
Sit in the space between the question and the answer,
The space where you are,
Where possibility lies,
Where the heart summons its courage to rise and speak.
Maybe bring a hand to your heart,
Perhaps the other finds your belly.
Maybe your eyes fall closed or gently to rest on what is slightly in front of you,
Ceasing the striving and strain,
Letting go into the being that is here and now.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
What is it that has followed you into this space?
What worries,
Thoughts,
Fears have you been carrying around all day long?
Be not afraid of calling them by name,
Remembering what they actually are,
Just a thought,
Just a fear,
Just a concern.
All of this is outside of you.
Each time these monsters try to arise and get loud in your ears,
Their shadow dancing on the wall of your mind,
Seeming to be far larger than they actually are,
Bring it back to you.
Bring your awareness back to your heart.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Here is where you get to use your voice,
Should that be right for you in this moment in time.
If it's not,
No worries.
If it is right,
Allow your throat chakra to be opened by the gentle hum of your voice.
And with your voice,
Begin to name out loud all that ails you.
What is it that you are most afraid of today?
Say it out loud.
What is it that brings you deep tumultuous anxiety?
Say it out loud.
What is it that snatches your awareness away from this present moment?
Say it out loud.
As you continue to speak these things with your voice,
Envision the worries,
The fears exiting your body,
Your awareness,
Your energy field.
And maybe you give them a mantra.
With my breath and my intention,
I release.
With my breath and my intention,
I release.
With my breath and my intention,
I release.
And watch those things float away like leaves floating down a stream of water.
You don't need them anymore.
Continue to repeat the mantra as many times as you need to,
Naming as many things as you need to.
The energies that you have picked up throughout your day.
The expectations and oughts that have been placed on your shoulders throughout the day.
The opinions and words of others that you have consumed today and subconsciously made your own.
The anxieties of what might be or what could be or what if.
With your breath and your intention,
Let it all go.
Release.
And now that you have released these things,
It's time to call yourself back home.
I offer you some of my favorite mantras,
But feel free to use what is right for you today.
I invite back to me my energy.
I invite back to me my goddess or god power.
I invite back to me my awareness.
I invite back to me my love,
My light.
I invite back to me my highest self.
I invite back to me the confidence of my identity as a divine being.
I invite and I welcome myself home.
As you sense your energy and power returning to your heart,
Into your physical body,
Maybe you take your arms,
Cross them and give yourself a big hug.
Hold yourself.
Let whatever comes up,
Come.
Let whatever wants to be expressed,
Be expressed.
If you cry,
You cry.
If you are joyous,
You are joyous.
If you feel completely numb,
You feel completely numb.
All is okay.
All is well.
Take your time.
Moving slowly,
Cross your arms the opposite way with the opposite arm underneath this time and bring it in for another big hug.
Hold yourself tenderly and close.
I love you,
My precious body.
I love you,
My dear soul.
I love you,
My ever beating heart.
I love you,
My strength.
I love you,
My resolve.
I love you,
My resilience.
I love you,
My courage.
I love you,
My bravery.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
Spend some time being held in your own love,
In your own embrace.
Welcome home,
Beloved.
Here you belong.
Here you are safe.
Here you are held.
Regardless of what may or may not happen out there in the real world,
Here in this space,
In the presence of your own love and power,
You belong.
All is well.
Let all be well.
Even if it is not well out there,
Let it be well here.
Stay here in your loving presence as long as you need.
Feel no need to rush to your next task or location.
Simply be right here,
Right now,
Beloved.
Simply be.
