Your only task is to relax and allow your body to breathe exactly the way it wants to.
You will experience this meditation most fully while sitting or lying down with eyes comfortably closed.
Please take a moment now to release any final fidgets.
Inhale and allow yourself to sink deeply into your body with an exhale.
Let all other sounds,
Thoughts and worries fall away as you focus on your breath.
Can you feel a slight temperature change at your nostrils as you breathe in and out?
Can you feel your rib cage expand and contract?
Good.
In this moment,
Visualize in your mind's eye a place where you feel safe.
This is your meditation,
Your life,
Your journey.
There are no wrong answers,
Only right ones.
If you have many answers,
Go with the first.
Trust your instincts.
If you have no current answer,
Pull from your past or your future.
Safe means something different to everyone,
Especially we who identify as LGBTQ plus.
Maybe safety is a person or a feeling or a piece of art.
Whatever it is,
Hold safety in your mind and heart for the next few breaths.

Return to your stillness.
Now visualize in your mind's eye a place where you feel joyful.
The same conditions apply.
Where do you feel,
Have you felt,
Will you feel joyful?
Bring that to life in your mind and your heart.
Let yourself feel that joy all the way to your fingertips,
All the way to your toes.
You are joyful.
Joyful moments are something you keep forever.
They cannot be stolen from you.
They are always yours.
This joy is always here for you and there is more coming.
Stay here inside joy for several breaths.

A space where you feel,
Have felt,
Or will feel proud of yourself.
Where are you?
Who is there?
What does it feel like?
What did you do to make it here?
For the next several breaths,
Sit in your well-deserved pride.
Let it course through you.
You are absolutely worthy of this feeling.
Of this recognition of the progress you have made to get here.
Proud.

Let your pride visualization slip away and return to your stillness.
Your stillness is peace that you always have access to,
If you can remember to tap into it.
Another source of peace,
Safety,
Joy,
And pride is the queer family you have across the world right now.
