In honor of LGBTQ+ Pride Month (and beyond!), this track provides 30 self-study prompts for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer practitioners who are looking to deepen their understanding of themselves and the life path that is yoga. There are multiple ways to use this track; contemplate one prompt per day, a few per week, or pause the track as you go to journal on each in one sitting. There is no wrong answer. Welcome to LGBTQ Plus Svyatyaya,

Self Study Prompts for Practitioners in the Lesbian,

Gay,

Bisexual,

Trans,

And Queer Community.

Use this track how you are most comfortable.

Perhaps you consider each question in real time and answer with what immediately rises to the surface.

Perhaps you pause the audio in between prompts to journal.

Perhaps you invite friends to engage in discussion.

Perhaps you do something else.

The intention is to know yourself more deeply,

However you use this track is up to you.

Let's begin.

Note the acronym LGBTQ Plus and the word Queer are used interchangeably and are meant to encompass the entire LGBTQ Plus community.

There will be 30 prompts.

When and how did you first become aware that people could be transgender?

Name three LGBTQ Plus identified role models and how they have impacted you.

What do you think about the concept of coming out?

Do LGBTQ Plus folks owe it to others to define themselves out loud through coming out?

Is it important for queer people to come out for the sake of visibility and representation?

Who gets to come out and who doesn't?

What has coming out looked like for you?

When and how did you first become aware that people could be attracted to the same gender and or many genders?

What were you raised to believe about LGBTQ Plus people?

Does that differ from your current beliefs?
