Hello and welcome to this Metta Meditation.

In this meditation you will connect with your heart space to cultivate loving kindness and compassion for your nearest and dearest.

Please come to sit in an upright position with your spine tall and your eyes closed.

Take a few moments to settle in,

To ground down and to arrive.

Now shift the focus to your heart space.

With a very open and loving intention think of someone in your life that you love tremendously.

A parent,

A partner,

A child,

A sibling,

A beloved teacher.

Think about people in your close world,

Colleagues and friends.

Thinking of them and feeling your love for them.

Now imagine them right in front of you.

Feel the connection between you.

Feel the joy radiating from your heart.

Now blessing your loved ones with an intention.

Imagine that they can feel it as you bless them in your mind.

Now repeat mentally as you visualize your nearest and dearest.

May you feel safe.

May you feel content.

May you feel strong.

May you live with ease.

May you feel safe.

May you feel content.

May you feel strong.

May you live with ease.

May you feel safe.

May you feel content.

May you feel strong.

May you live with ease.

Imagining your nearest and dearest in front of you.

Sending your blessings,

Your loving kindness and compassion.

As you send these blessings,

Observe your own heart arriving in a peaceful and calm state.

Now allow yourself to sit in silence while you observe the feeling of loving kindness and compassion.
