This is a meditation,

A guided visualization for you to visit your worry tree,

Relax and let go of your worries.

Begin by finding a comfortable position in a quiet place where you can be still and relaxed.

Take a long deep breath in.

Let your body settle into the position that you're in.

Let your body go heavy.

You might like to shake out your body a little bit,

Wiggle around and then go heavy wherever you are.

You can be seated or lying down.

Just make sure you're nice and comfortable.

Take another deep breath in and a long breath out.

You have nowhere else to be now.

You can relax and be still and get ready to enjoy the places your imagination can take you.

Today you are exploring your own special and magical garden and visiting your worry tree.

But now I'd like you to imagine that you can see a beautiful and windy dirt path.

You can follow it however fast or however slow you'd like to go.

The sun is shining on you and its warmth feels good on your face and on your body.

Your deep breaths breathe in the fresh air.

The afternoon breeze in the trees blowing in the wind and rustling your hair.

Doesn't it feel good to have the air and the sun on your face?

The winding dirt path leads you to a familiar strong stone wall with a beautiful ancient and sturdy wooden gate in the middle of the wall.

You make your way to the gate.

Your curiosity wills you to turn the old brass handle and see what awaits you on the other side.

The gate opens slowly with a loud squeak and the beauty of the garden on the other side takes your breath away.

The colors of the garden are bright and vibrant.

There are trees,

Plants,

Animals and flowers of all sizes and colors.

The biggest and strongest of all in the garden is your worry tree.

It's right at the front near the gate.

Before you enter your garden,

Why don't you stop at your worry tree and leave all your worries right here.

Anything that might be worrying you,

Anything at all,

Just leave it here in your tree and then you can forget about it.

Your worry tree will take care of it and you never have to think about it again.

Your worry tree is always here for you.

You can visit it anytime you like.

Now in your garden,

You are safe and free to wander wherever you choose.

And there is so much to see.

There are new plants and flowers bursting into life,

New animals playing since the last time you came to your garden.

And it's all here for you to enjoy.

Look around and see what you can see.

There are paths wandering off the main path.

You can follow any path you like.

You are barefoot on the ground and the feeling of the soft dirt path under you feels so good.

The dirt is ancient and a bit springy.

The dirt smells fresh and new and brings all the promise of a new day with it.

Go ahead down the path you choose and enjoy being quiet and alone and mindful and peaceful in your own special garden,

Which is here just for you to enjoy.

I will leave you now here for a minute to enjoy your garden,

Wandering,

Exploring,

And being safe in this beautiful place.

Taking a long breath in and a long breath out.

Feeling the peace and beauty within you of your secret magical garden.

Walking back down the paths.

Approaching your worry tree.

You might like to put another worry in there on your way out.

And then opening up that gate,

Noticing how you feel now after a wander in your garden.

Closing the gate behind you.

Walking down the path.

Back home again.

You are safe and calm.

And your garden is always there for you.

Your worry tree is always waiting for you.

Ready to take your worries whenever you need to visit it.

Continue to breathe deeply.

Start to wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Gently shake your head from side to side.

Opening your knees into your chest and give yourself a big hug.

Be proud of yourself for meditating today and feeling a little bit calmer.

When you're ready,

You can sit up.

Gently open your eyes and continue on with your day.
