This meditation is useful every day,

Whether it's a good day,

Perfect for thanking our body for allowing us to experience it,

Or a bad day when we're being too hard on ourselves.

We've always been taught to be kind to others,

But we often forget to be kind to ourselves.

This practice is a gentle reminder to appreciate and thank our bodies for all they do,

Treating ourselves with the same kindness and compassion we extend to others.

Find a comfortable position,

Either seated or lying down.

Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.

Inhale deeply,

Filling your lungs,

And exhale slowly,

Releasing any tension.

Allow your mind to settle and your body to relax.

Imagine for a moment that you are stepping outside of your body.

Visualize your body as a separate entity,

A dear friend who has been with you through every experience of your life.

This friend has supported you,

Carried you,

And helped you in countless ways.

Today,

Let's take a few moments to express our gratitude to this loyal companion.

Let's start by thanking our whole body.

Picture your body as a whole,

Standing before you.

Feel a wave of appreciation washing over you for the entire being that has been your home.

Say to your body,

Thank you for being with me through every moment,

For your strength and resilience.

Now,

Let's turn our attention to the head and face.

Your face expresses your emotions,

Your eyes see the beauty of the world,

Your mouth speaks your truth,

And your ears listen to the sounds of the birds singing and the stories of your loved ones.

Thank you head and face for allowing me to experience the world for seeing,

Hearing,

Tasting,

And speaking.

Focus on your mind.

It is the seat of your thoughts,

Your creativity,

And your dreams.

It solves problems,

Learns new things,

And helps you navigate life.

Thank you mind for your endless capacity to think,

Create,

And imagine,

For guiding me through life with wisdom and insight.

Bring your focus to your neck and shoulders.

They have borne the weight of your stress and tension,

Supported your head,

And allowed you to move with grace.

Thank you neck and shoulders for your strength and flexibility,

For supporting me and allowing me to move freely.

Now,

Think about your arms and hands.

They have hugged loved ones,

Created art,

Prepared meals,

And allowed you to express yourself.

Thank you arms and hands for your ability to create,

To touch,

And to hold,

For all the ways you help me connect with the world.

Move your attention to your torso and back.

Your torso houses your vital organs,

Keeping you alive and healthy.

Your back provides strength and support,

Allowing you to stand and sit upright.

Thank you torso and back for your strength and for protecting the core of my being.

Shift your focus to your feet and legs.

These parts of your body have taken you to so many places.

They have allowed you to explore the world,

To run,

Walk,

Dance,

And stand tall.

Thank you feet and legs for carrying me through life's journey,

For supporting me every step of the way.

Take a few moments now to bask in the gratitude you feel for your body.

Breathe deeply,

Allowing this feeling of thankfulness to fill you completely.

When you are ready,

Slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment.

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

Gently stretch your body,

And when you feel ready,

Open your eyes.

Carry this sense of gratitude with you throughout your day,

Remembering to appreciate your body,

Your loyal friend,

For all that it does for you.
