This is a meditation to help kids relax, fall asleep, and have sweet dreams. It's about 7 minutes of affirmations and intentions, and then 5 minutes of music, bells and nature sounds. I did this with my son for years when he needed help with nightmares - he would ask me to do the "dream thing" every night. Now, I share it with you all in case it helps ease your little ones into restful, peaceful sleep. It goes well with gentle ear massages, too.

Hello my dearest loves,

Thank you for joining me.

Let's get ourselves ready to relax and feel calm.

We can start by getting all the last bits of energy and tension released from our bodies.

So if you'd like,

Take a big giant stretch,

Spread everything out from the tips of your toes to the tips of your fingers.

Make your body as big and wide as you can make it.

And hold that position for the count of 1,

2,

3,

4,

5,

And release.

Let everything go limp and relax.

Take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in and slowly breathe out,

Getting all the air out of your lungs.

Let's do that just one more time.

Big stretch from the tips of your toes along your legs,

Up your back,

Your shoulders,

And your arms all the way down to the tips of your fingers.

As big as you can be,

And release.

Relax into another deep breath.

Okay,

Let's begin our wishes and intentions for a wonderful night filled with magical dreams.

May you have wonderful dreams tonight where all good things flow right to you easily and effortlessly.

Where you're always surrounded by kind people who love you and help you to feel safe and grounded,

Included and connected,

Supported and nurtured,

Cared for and empowered.

Where all experiences help you feel confident and strong,

Brave and clever,

Important and compassionate,

Respected and honored,

Fun and creative,

Joyful and inspired,

Sweet like jumping on a jello trampoline in a marshmallow forest.

Or perhaps sweet like the sounds of the loveliest melody.

Or a gently mewling kitten or joyous laughter.

Or like the sound of a crowd cheering you on to victory.

Perhaps sweet like the delicious scents of Lily and Jasmine on a spring breeze.

Or the smell of hot chocolate when you come inside from playing in the snow.

Or the smell of your own special blanket that may be cradling you right now.

Maybe your dreams tonight will be sweet like the last drips of ice cream melted on your tongue or the taste of cool water on a hot summer day.

Perhaps sweet like feeling perfectly comfortable at just the right temperature and snuggle down deep as though you're surrounded by a gentle,

Loving hug.

Or perhaps sweet where in the dreams everything goes your way and everything is fun and magic is as easy as a snap of your fingers,

A blink of an eye,

A wish along your imagination.

And all challenges are welcome adventures and obstacles are powerful opportunities and mistakes are beautiful blessings.

May you feel at peace with yourself,

Who you are,

All things you have said and done.

May you feel informed by the past,

Engaged in the present,

And excited by the future.

May you always know that you are perfect just as you are.

That you have the powerful magic of creation by your thoughts,

Your intentions,

And focus.
