Fall into a safe and comfortable position as you enjoy listening to the gentle sounds of this recording.

Begin by taking in a nice deep belly breath.

One,

Two,

Three.

Now hold it for a moment.

Now let it out slowly and completely.

Allow your eyes to close and your breathing to become deep and full.

Breathing in fully and exhaling easily.

Breathing in pure,

Fresh oxygen and exhaling stress,

Anxiety,

And tension.

And now as you begin to breathe naturally,

Allow yourself to go deeper,

Relaxed while listening to the sounds of this recording.

As you relax and as you relax deeper,

Recognize that you will always be able to maintain awareness and any outside sounds become like music to your ears.

If there is a situation that needs your attention,

You'll be able to simply and easily open your eyes and respond in a normal fashion.

Otherwise,

The sounds are blending in and assisting you in your relaxation.

Now imagine a soothing wave of relaxation flowing now from the top of your head all the way down to the tips of your toes.

You become more comfortable as you let go of any tension in your body,

Allowing your whole body to become deeply relaxed.

Allow the relaxation to really soak in.

Let it soak into every part of your body.

There is no limit to the amount of relaxation that you can experience.

Focusing now on each part of your body,

Begin with your head.

Allow a comfortable wave of relaxation to loosen all the muscles in your head and scalp.

Now that enjoyable and comfortable feeling of relaxation flows down into your face,

Softening all the small muscles around your mouth and eyes.

Comfortably relaxing your jaw,

It may open slightly and you easily release any tension from your head,

Jaw,

Face completely.

If you don't feel the relaxation immediately,

It's okay.

Just focus on the sounds of this recording and as you continue following along,

Relaxation will settle in.

This gentle flow of release radiates down your neck into your shoulders and back,

Relaxing every muscle in your neck and back completely.

Your back easily releases all tension and you sink further into relaxation.

Now this flow of release moves down your arms,

Relaxing every muscle,

Now flowing into your hands all the way to the tips of your fingers.

Feeling so comfortable,

So at ease and allowing every part of your arms and hands to just let go.

Relaxation now flows into your chest,

Deepening your breathing and normalizing your heart rate and blood pressure.

And as this wave of calm and softening continues down into your stomach,

It harmonizes all your bodily functions,

Allowing your body to rejuvenate and replenish itself.

You now recognize that relaxation is good for you.

You enjoy relaxing daily because of the beneficial effects it has on your physical,

Emotional and mental well-being.

This peaceful flow of relaxation continues radiating down into your legs now,

Traveling across your knees into your ankles,

Softening all the joints and tendons there and relaxing each and every muscle.

You begin feeling yourself really letting go into this sensation of relaxation.

Remember to keep breathing deeply into your belly,

Then exhaling slowly and completely.

This flow of release is traveling into the tops of your feet,

Sinking to the soles of your feet,

Relieving them of all tension.

You now feel a warm and gentle flow of relaxation all the way from the top of your head down to the tips of your toes.

Your feet feel as if they're being bathed in the light of pure relaxation.

And now that your entire body is relaxed,

You once again send another wave of relaxation down your body,

Releasing any last bit of tension,

Dissolving it completely,

Letting go entirely.

Now you are noticing how your whole body responds with an even deeper level of relaxation.

There is no limit to how much relaxation you can experience.

And the deeper you go,

The better you feel.

And the better you feel,

The deeper you can go.

And now,

As I count from one to five,

You can imagine yourself stepping down into ever deepening levels of release and relaxation,

Allowing yourself to drift back down to the deepest level of relaxation that you have ever experienced.

One,

Deeper and deeper relaxed,

Feeling safe,

Secure,

And comfortable.

Two,

As your body relaxes,

Your mind relaxes,

And your body relaxes much further.

Three,

Allowing yourself to relax so much,

It's as if you were asleep at night.

Four,

Way down,

Drifting and floating down deeper.

And stepping down now to five,

So deeply relaxed and relaxing more and more with every gentle breath,

You exhale.

And now,

You begin repeating simple affirmations to yourself as you continue relaxing.

It is now easy for me to relax.

Repeat again.

It is now easy for me to relax.

Once more.

It is now easy for me to relax.

I enjoy taking time each day to release and relax.

Again,

I enjoy taking time each day to release and relax.

Once more.

I enjoy taking time each day to release and relax.

Good.

The gentle sounds of this recording guide you deeper into relaxation.

And the deeper you go,

The better you feel.

And the better you feel,

The deeper you can go.

This is a cycle of ever deepening relaxation and feelings of comfort and pleasure.

Becoming more and more comfortably relaxed with each and every breath you exhale.

There's nothing but pleasant feelings moving through your body and nothing but pleasant thoughts going through your mind.

There is no limit to the relaxation you can experience.

As you continue to deepen your relaxation,

With every gentle breath you exhale,

Your mind may drift or wander.

The sound of my voice will return in a moment after giving your mind time to enjoy this peaceful space of relaxation.

And now your attention returns to the sound of my voice.

In a moment I'm going to count from one to five.

When I get to five I would like you to easily and effortlessly drift off to a peaceful sleep.

One,

You are slowly beginning to drift off to sleep.

And you now know that you enjoy relaxing every single day and that it is beneficial for you physically,

Mentally,

And emotionally.

Two,

Each muscle,

Nerve,

And cell in your body is comfortable and relaxed and you feel the most peaceful you have ever felt.

Three,

From head to toe you are feeling wonderful in every way.

Mentally relaxed,

Mentally serene,

And emotionally peaceful.

Four,

It is the nature of human beings to do better with practice and every day you take the time to relax and fall asleep just like this.

You will find you will be able to relax deeper and faster than the day before.

Now slowly preparing to drift off to sleep.

Five,

Drifting off to a tranquil,

Serene,

And peaceful sleep.
