Somewhere in your past.
There was a night.
Where everything aligns.
A night where you drifted off effortlessly.
And you stayed in that deep sleep.
Restful slumber.
Until you woke up in the morning.
Feeling as though.
Your entire being was brand new.
Well that experience.
Isn't God.
Your body knows how to get that sleep.
It's stored.
And a blueprint within you.
And tonight.
I'll guide you to find that blueprint.
Stepping back into it.
And that wonderful night's sleep.
That came with it.
Take a moment to settle in.
Making any adjustments to allow yourself.
To be even just 1% more comfortable.
Because you deserve to be that comfortable.
Not just tonight.
But every night.
And once you've found that most comfortable position,
You can allow your eyes.
To begin to close.
As I count down from five.
Feeling the growing weight there in your eyelids.
As we come to four.
And your eyes may begin to flutter now.
As you start transitioning into night.
Three.
The growing weight of your eyelids.
Taking over.
More and more.
And you begin to let go.
Of the day just passed.
As we reach two.
And you're barely able to resist that.
Desire to close your eyes.
But you hold on for just.
.
.
A few more seconds.
As we finally reach.
Allowing your eyes to close all the way down now.
Enjoying that sense of release.
And relaxation.
As the muscles in and around your eyes.
Soften all the way.
Relaxing your face.
Your forehead.
Your jaw.
And allowing that sense of relaxation.
To spread from your head.
Throughout your whole body.
Like a wave.
Passing through your shoulders.
Your arms.
Your chest and your back.
Softening every point of tension.
Releasing any lingering energy.
As it continues to spread across your hips.
Through your thighs.
Down your calves.
And all the way.
To the tips of your toes.
Feeling your whole body.
Beginning to make that transition.
Into stillness.
Softness.
And sleep.
And I don't know exactly how or when you'll fall asleep tonight.
But I do now.
That we're all capable.
Of profoundly restful sleep.
Indeed,
We're designed for it.
Every cell in your being.
Already knows.
Exactly.
How to fall into the perfect night's sleep.
And that process is effortless.
Because sleep isn't something you force.
It's a state of being.
When the body is ready.
And the circumstances for that state to occur.
Are present.
Then sleep happens effortlessly.
Naturally.
And so our goal here tonight.
Isn't to accomplish sleep.
But rather.
To create the correct circumstances.
And then.
.
.
To get out of the way.
And allow the body to do.
What it's designed to do.
And one thing that's.
Extremely helpful.
To prepare the body for that transition.
Is a few rounds of slow and deep breathing.
So let's take one short moment now.
To do that.
Inhaling slowly and deeply through the nose.
And then hold at the top of the breath.
Before you exhale.
Even slower than the inhale.
Just let the air fall back out.
Inhaling again.
Even deeper.
Even slower.
Home.
And then release.
Nice and easy.
Not forcing anything here.
Once more now,
Inhale.
And exhale,
Release.
Perfect.
Now allow your breath.
To return to its own natural pace and depth.
Don't focus on whether it fits a certain rhythm.
Or any way you think it should.
Or must be.
Allow your body to do what it does naturally.
That's right.
Just let it be soft.
And effortless.
And through this slower and deeper breath,
You've signaled to your body.
That you're safe.
And then it's time to relax.
And so your body.
In its own way.
Is already beginning the physiological transition.
Towards sleep.
Breath by breath.
Moment by moment.
Softening.
Growing heavier.
Moving away from the physical senses.
And sinking deeper and deeper.
Into yourself.
And as you continue to rest more deeply.
In this way.
You can allow your mind to wander.
To a memory.
A time in your life.
Where you had the most restful.
Perfect sleep.
Maybe it was years ago.
Maybe it was recently.
Maybe you are on vacation.
Listening to the distant sounds of the ocean.
Maybe you were in a cabin in the woods.
As a gentle rain fell through the pine trees outside.
Or maybe it was in your very own bed at home.
Or even a lazy afternoon nap on your couch.
But whatever delightful memory of sleep.
You have stored away in your mind.
Just begin to draw that feeling back.
And don't worry if it's fuzzy.
Or unclear at first.
Because whatever details may be missing.
You can always fill in.
I just began by.
Recalling.
Whatever you do remember.
The place you are in.
The position in which.
Your body was resting.
Anything you may have done.
Leading up to that time.
Any sounds that surrounded you.
The temperature of the air.
On your skin.
The softness.
Of each breath.
And as you continue.
Filling in these details.
Bit by bit.
Simply watch yourself.
In this memory.
Notice.
How peaceful your face looks.
And how relaxed you are.
And every muscle.
In every joint.
And every corner of your mind.
There's no trace.
Of effort.
Or trying.
In this memory.
In this moment.
You've already won.
You've already surrendered.
You've let go.
Of everything you were holding on to.
And simply enjoy.
A time for peace and quiet.
That you so deeply deserve.
And now.
Begin to step into that.
Memory of yourself.
Slide into your body.
As though that memory were happening.
Right now.
Feeling those sensations in your body.
The E.
And relaxation.
Slowly taking over.
As you settle deeper and deeper within.
And maybe there's a profound sense of release.
Of completion.
That lived in your heart and mind.
Embracing that same sense.
Of the freedom to let go.
Entirely.
Knowing that.
Because you were capable of such.
Profound ease.
Relaxation.
And sleep.
At some time before.
You're just as capable of it now.
And maybe even more so.
And as you settle more and more into that memory,
Your body will begin to recognize that state.
Your nervous system.
Saying.
I remember this.
I know how this feels.
And I know where to go from here.
Not the heaviness.
And comfort of that moment.
Spread through your body.
Feeling.
Solve.
Fuzziness and tangle.
As your body rests deeper.
And deeper.
Into that same state of sleep.
Moment by moment.
Beginning to relive that.
Perfect night's rest.
Breathing in the same way.
That slow and steady breath.
Your mind.
Drifting in the same way.
Farther and farther.
From any thoughts of the outside world.
Your subconscious.
Falling deeper and deeper.
Into that same dark.
And velvet abyss.
And moment by moment.
As you relive that.
Perfect night's sleep.
You aren't just remembering it.
You are becoming it.
Breathing the same.
Restore Edivere.
Stepping into that.
Blueprint of peace.
And comfort.
Letting go of any thoughts or worries.
And any frustrations.
Completely unconcerned.
About when or how.
You'll fall asleep.
Finding comfort.
And the knowledge that Your body knows how to sleep.
And that it's a natural part.
Of your being.
Just as wakefulness is a part of you.
So too.
Is deep.
And restorative sleep.
Making your way there.
Following your own path.
In exactly the right way.
For you.
Resting easier.
In the knowledge that your body will fall asleep.
And exactly.
The right time.
Not needing to try.
Just letting go.
And enjoying this time.
For peace and quiet.
Knowing that you are safe.
That you are secure.
And that each breath moves you.
Even just one percent.
Closer to sleep.
Allowing yourself.
To rest deeper.
And deeper.
As you relive that.
Most restorative sleep.
Of your life.
Drifting here.
As your mind falls quiet.
And your body falls still.
Moving farther and farther.
From the day just passed.
Closer and closer.
To rest.
And relaxation.
Simply enjoying.
A sense of comfort.
That you're currently experiencing.
Knowing that you deserve.
This time for stillness.
And silence.
And total body restoration.
In which you have absolutely nothing to do.
That exists.
Breath by breath.
Sinking deeper and deeper.
Into the perfect night's sleep.
