Hey friend.
If you're here tonight,
Then there's a good chance your mind is still running.
Still replaying the day.
Holding on to tomorrow's to-do list.
Maybe you're even becoming a bit frustrated.
Wondering why you can't switch off your mind.
While I have good news for you.
There is a very simple process.
To turn off erasing mind.
And it doesn't require any effort.
That running mind.
Doesn't need to be fought.
Were forced into silence.
It just needs somewhere to go.
Somewhere peaceful.
And relaxing.
So tonight.
.
.
That's exactly what we'll do together.
Will escape.
The worries and thoughts of the waking day.
Quiet,
Erasing mind.
And settle into the most restful sleep.
So go ahead and settle in.
Find that most comfortable position in bed.
And rest your gaze softly.
On the wall or the ceiling.
Whatever's out in front of you.
And I know this may seem counterintuitive.
To leave the eyes open for a moment.
But it can be really effective.
At helping you relax.
And switch off.
So as I count down.
From five to one.
Just allow your eyes to close bit by bit.
Starting at five.
Just beginning to leave the day behind.
For.
Feeling that growing weight of your eyelids.
3.
The gaze softening.
As your eyes may begin to flicker and flutter.
Too.
That way.
Growing heavier.
And heavier.
Maybe even seeing,
Only through the tiniest sliver.
Between your eyelids.
But holding on.
For just another moment.
Until we arrive.
At one.
And you allow your eyes to close all the way down.
Feeling that first wave of softness.
Settling into the muscles around your eyes.
And just allowing yourself to relax.
Into this first moment of stillness.
As you're taking the first steps towards a night of rest.
Leaving the noise of the waking world exactly where it is.
And starting to slip away.
Into a place of safety.
Of D.
Peaceful rest.
A place where you can finally switch everything off.
And I don't know whether you'll fall asleep faster.
Due to the words that I say.
The way that I say them.
Or maybe even.
.
.
The spaces between my words.
But I do now.
That we all fall asleep.
In our own way.
And on our own time.
So win that gentle pull of sleep.
Is tugging at you tonight.
Just.
Let go.
And drift off.
There's no need to listen all the way through.
But until that time comes for you.
You can just follow the sound of my voice.
As you begin to take a nice deep breath in hoarding it.
At the top.
And then gently.
And slowly.
Exhaling back out.
Breathing in again.
Collecting any tension.
Any noise in the body and then exhaling.
Releasing it.
And feeling yourself.
Settling just tiny bit.
Deeper down.
Into the bed.
Once more together.
Inhale and exhale.
Just let the air.
Fall back out.
And then let your breath.
Return to its own natural rhythm and depth.
Whatever feels easy and effortless to you.
And you may notice already.
That each breath is moving.
Just the tiniest bit slower and softer.
Than the one before.
And that's the first signals.
At your body.
Is doing exactly.
What it knows how to do.
Finding its way into rest.
You don't need to try to relax.
You can simply allow.
In the same way,
You'd let a leaf drift down a slow-moving stream.
No effort.
No forcing.
Just release.
And to help you release a bit more.
I invite you to imagine that.
Inside your body.
There's a little switch.
For each part of you.
And one by one.
Will go through each of those switches.
And gently turn them off.
And you can start.
By bringing your attention to your feet.
Just noticing them at first.
Resting there in the bed.
And imagining that switch there.
And once you've found that switch.
.
.
You flip it into the off position.
And at that exact moment.
You feel your feet?
Grow heavy and lose.
Completely at rest.
Now moving up.
To your calves and shins.
Finding that switch.
And turning it all the way off.
Feeling any tension.
And any energy.
Melting away.
Until it's gone.
And then continuing up into your thighs.
Noticing them resting.
As you find that switch.
And flip it off.
And as you do.
You feel your legs.
Settle into complete stillness.
And relaxation.
And this begins to form a wave now.
Rising into your hips.
And your lower back.
As if.
These parts of you.
Are asking.
For you to flip the switch.
And so.
.
.
You find that switch.
For your hips and your lower back.
And you turn it off.
Feeling everything.
Let go.
And soften.
And next.
You move to your chest and your back.
Flipping that switch off.
And feeling everything.
Relax deeper and deeper.
Moving to your arms,
Your hands,
And your shoulders.
Turning the switch off.
And feeling them sink.
Into the bed.
Like they've melted away.
And then.
.
.
Flipping the switch in your neck.
And your face.
Feeling all of those muscles.
Soften.
And release.
And finally.
.
.
Before letting go.
Completely.
Thanking your body.
And your mind.
For everything they've done today.
And acknowledging.
That all of the days were.
Is done.
There's nothing left to do.
But relax.
And enjoy this time.
For peace and quiet.
And with that.
.
.
You find the switch for your mind.
And with your next breath out.
You flip it off.
And you feel yourself.
Sinking deeper.
And deeper.
And even deeper still.
And that sense of settling deeper.
Brings a new image to your mind.
And it's an image of.
.
.
An elevator.
But it's no ordinary elevator.
This is the elevator.
Of your own mind.
And it takes you from the busy waking levels at the top all the way down.
To the deeper.
Quieter.
More slowly moving levels.
Of the subconscious mind.
And as you settle deeper and deeper.
You step into this elevator.
Perfectly safe.
And familiar.
And inviting.
And you press the button.
For the bottom floor.
Leading the doors to slide closed.
And slowly.
Softly.
The elevator begins to move.
Sinking down.
And down.
And farther down.
And with every floor you pass.
You sink a little deeper into relaxation.
From 10.
Tonight.
Leaving behind the busyness.
And the activity.
Of the waking mind.
To A.
And even deeper still.
To seven.
Beginning to lose touch.
With the physical sensations of the body.
As you come to sex.
Entering.
Into a sense of spaciousness.
And ease.
At five.
Quieter.
Softer.
And deeper.
To four.
Beyond the halfway point.
At three.
As everything beyond.
This very moment.
Seems to be fading.
And dissolving.
And you feel yourself.
Almost there.
.
.
As you come to two.
So deeply relaxed.
At once.
And everything.
Move slower.
And softer.
As you finally reach.
.
.
Zero.
The very bottom.
And the elevator.
Comes gently.
To a silent stop.
Here.
At the deepest levels of your mind.
Where everything is quiet.
And still.
And save.
Where there's nothing to think about.
Nothing to sell.
Nothing to remember.
Just peace.
Pure existence.
And as the doors slide open.
What's revealed in front of you.
Is a golden oasis.
Solve warm light.
Invites you out.
As you stab.
Unto lush,
Green grass.
Finding all around you.
Tall tree.
Swaying slowly.
And their leaves whispering in the breeze.
Colorful flowers.
I'm a bat.
In front of you.
And next to that path.
Is the slow moving stream.
It's babbling water.
Shimmering in the light.
It's sound.
Soft and steady.
Like a lullaby for your mind.
And you follow that path now,
If you'd like to.
There's no hurry.
And know where to be.
After all.
This place exists only for your better rest and well-being.
And in time.
You discover.
A small,
Cozy bungalow.
Exactly as you'd want it to be.
Waiting for you.
To step inside.
Where there's the most comfortable.
And inviting bed.
You've ever laid in.
Perfect temperature.
The perfect pillow.
The perfect sheep.
And comfort her.
Made just for you.
Here,
In this place.
You're safe.
To rest.
Nothing from the waking world can reach you.
No worries.
No problems to solve.
No racing thoughts.
You can stay here.
For as long as you'd like.
Drifting deeper and deeper.
Until you feel the pull of sleep.
And you just let go.
Until then.
.
.
You are safe.
You are at peace.
And you are allowed to rest.
Every breath.
Guiding you deeper.
In Tibet.
Deeper into the peace of this oasis.
Deeper.
Into sleep.
You don't have to switch your mind off by force anymore.
You can simply let it rest.
The same way this stream.
Moves in its path.
Drifting softly.
Down.
And down.
Without effort.
And without end.
Escaping.
From the waking world.
More and more.
With each breath.
The noise and the busyness.
Feels farther and farther.
Sinking.
Into stillness.
Your body.
And mine.
Know how to let go.
Sleep.
Is natural for you.
It's not something you have to chase or force.
It's something that finds you.
Without reaching for it.
So just let go.
And rest.
You are exactly.
.
.
Where you need to be.
You deserve this rest.
You deserve this peace.
And tonight.
It's entirely yours.
Resting easier.
Knowing that you'll awake in the morning.
Feeling fully refreshed.
And rejuvenated.
But for now.
.
.
Just enjoying this moment.
In your own subconscious oasis.
Drifting and sinking.
Into the most wonderful sleep.
That lasts.
All night long.
Here,
In this place.
You're safe to rest.
Nothing from the waking world can reach you.
No worries.
No problems to solve.
